I love this campground so much. It had the best bathhouse with awesome showers and clean sinks. Our campsite overlooked Lake Superior. Everyone was in bed by 11. Highly recommend!

This place was much too crowded for my taste. We paid $30 for a "walk-in" site that was right next to the campground entrance and a light post that never went off and people were coming in and out all hours of the morning. Absolutely no privacy between sites. Not my cup of tea.

The campground is always great. People are respectful and conscious of what time it is. Family friendly, clean and well taken care of. The new bath house is great too!

The campsite is really nice and well kept with easy beach access. However, they close their bathrooms and showers from 9-10am which seems like a bad time of day to do so and there aren’t quiet hours so people were up drinking and being loud until all hours of the night.

Campground was good, however we requested spots/reservations so our group could camp together. On the reservation site it looked like we were together. When we checked in we had to play musical campers because one of the site numbers was switched, and move because the other spot we had for one night was supposedly booked, but there wasn’t anyone next to us the whole 10 days we were there, but we weren’t allowed to switch, in wasn’t very convenient having to run from one side of the campground to another. We even asked about switching sites and were told we would have to pay for them, even though we already paid for the other site. We didn’t see what the big deal was, since they were the same type of site.

One of our favorite spots to camp. Quiet, clean, and on Lake Superior.

Woodland is always a good stay! Lakeside sites are mostly large and Lake Superior views are abundant. Bring enough length of water hose as some sites depending on how you situate your rig will require at least 50' of hose. New bathhouse that are nice, clean and smell like cedar. Close to town for your whitefish sandwich (Lake Superior Brewing Co.) Or other downtown color including Grand Marais breakwater inlet and Lighthouse Keepers House Museum. Keep in mind although right on the lake, it is quite a trek down stairs and sand to get to the beach. The campground is buffered by a steep ledge so you cannot access the beach but from the two points east and west of the north edge of the grounds. Not a deal breaker by any means but worth mentioning. A+ Woodland!

Office staff unfriendly. Other campers inconsiderate with smoldering, smelly fires 🔥 at all hours.

The weather was horrible for the weekend and we wanted to move the weekend to a different day but your canel policy is terrible.

    1. There was a power outage during our stay, where the power was put from 8am til 4pm. I did not find out about this at check in. I found out when I walked to the bathroom/bath house in the morning and it was locked. 2. Showers- One night there was only 1 out of 5 shower stahls that would work. The next night, the water turned off mid-shower. I contacted the camp host. He went to the shower house and told me how to get them to work. The water handle has to be on and you must also push a button several times to get the water to work. This was not explained at check in either. 3. The campground did have laundry facilities, which I appreciated; however, they did not have quarters. When I went to the camp office, the lady working said they didn't have quarters and suggested I go to the bank. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. I feel that since the power outage was scheduled ahead of time, the campground should have made arrangements for a Porta pot. There was nowhere to use the bathroom for 8 hours. I was told to try the gas station in town. Perhaps if I was told at check in about the expected power outage and how to use the showers it wouldn't have been so hectic.
