Woodland Park Campground — Reviews

What a gem! This campground is run by the local township, nestled quaint Grand Marais. It runs along Superior shoreline so it’s scenic views are seen throughout the park even if you don’t get a site that borders the coast. Incredibly friendly campers with dogs and so many things to experience nearby. Hoping to reserve a spot next summer!

Love the new shower building and dump station. We camped here last year and loved it . Now with the new shower building we plan on making it a yearly destination.

The camp ground was quiet, clean and the beach is stunning the new bath house was the cherry on top. The walk to down town was short and easy. There are many wonderful things to see around the area as well. We had a great time and will be back again!

There was a mixup in our camping spot not our mixup. We had to move to another spot for the last night. The place we reserved was supposed to be for a 40ft, 3 pullouts, and there was no way we would have fit. They said they gave us a free night, but we prepaid to the 17, so that’s not correct. We will come back next year for the flyin. But stay in a different section. The new owner was very accommodating, thanks

The park is very nice. Sights are quite small though. The brand new bath/shower house is great! 2 starts because it was not advertised and we weren’t made known that our camp site was not finished. It was next to the new shower house. Grass seed was still down, all sand, no fire pit and no where to have a picnic table. The site is extremely narrow. Our camper awning extended over the sidewalk to the shower house. Very disappointed.

Beautiful well kept park! Amazing views of Lake Superior and so much to explore in the area. Highly recommend!

Sites are large and clean. Newly constructed bathrooms and showers are very nice. Close access to the beach

This is the best campground! The Camp Host is great! The bathrooms and showers are clean and the view of the beach makes it worth the drive.

The new facilities were perfect quiet atmosphere wonderful little town perfect weather.

We had great spot over looking the bluffs on Lake Superior Had good bike rides and hike to sable falls from campground. Can’t beat the rock hunting there also

New Shower house. Nice campground and friendly staff. Well maintained campground right on Lake Superior. Has stairs down to the beach. Nice walking on the beach. Sidewalks across the street for an easy walk into town. Grand Marais has a couple of restaurants, small market and a fuel stop. Good coffee shop in town. If there is a bad, not really.. would be limited radio stations, could not pick up an over the air tv station in the camper. But we go camping to get away from it . Campground has free guest WiFi available. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway.. this could check those boxes.

This is one of my favorite places to camp and I look forward to it every year
