We had a great weekend and love grand Marais but the people across the road left their dogs in their pop up camper all day and they barked endlessly for hours on end before they came back. Makes it hard to enjoy your time.

Site was the smallest I have ever camped on. Neighbors were right there, basically at the end of awning. Water pooled up after heavy rain right in the main part of site and because of size we had no other option. Only one sewer trainage for a massive park, plan on getting there early. Area is amazing, campground is marginal at best.

Bathrooms were clean, accesible and I loved that there was easy access to the beach! I loved the little places around the camp within close proximity.

We've been camping at Woodland Park since 2006, which makes this year our 20th. We love Grand Marais, and even though we travel a lot, this is the only place we come back to every single year. The campground is always immaculate. The staff is always friendly. The lakefront sites are worth the extra and the bathrooms are always clean.

Great site with a lake view and nice beach. We loved the baseball field and space for our dog to run as well.

We love the park; we have been coming for years. We got a nice shaded lot, which was good for the dogs, except it was covered in mulched leaves, which ended up EVERYWHERE. Also, the camp host rode around in a golf cart yelling at everyone. Took the vibe right out of the nice holiday weekend with family.

A great stay as always! Right above Superior, walking distance to town, a quick bike to the pier. It's just something my family looks forward to every year! 🥰

It was a great stay except for the 2 horse trailers being used as campers they were so many flys and the smell of horse manure

This is a great campground, with clean bathrooms, wonderful staff, and fellow camping folks. It is right off Main Street in town, and it is very crowded, with lots of RVs, so if you are looking for a remote or private experience, you might check the 12 Mile Beach campground down the road. However, if you are camping with kids, this is a great place. Even my teenage son found friends at the nearby basketball court, and there were tons of kids of all ages on bikes. What you sacrifice in privacy or seclusion, you gain in direct beach access, clean facilities, a coffee shop within walking distance, and the lovely downtown of Grand Marais. I also found that there were far fewer biting flies at Woodlands than at the more remote campgrounds in the National Parks. I love this spot and will definitely be back.

Noisy RV neighbors ten feet away from each other. Well past quiet hours. No enforcement. Kids watching tv cartoons inside tents at full volume at eight am. No bathroom access for a full hour for cleaning. How about a half hour for men’s and a half hour for women’s side. Very little screening between sites. Private RV parks are a poor cousin to state, provincial or national park campgrounds despite the availability of water and electric. I’d rather bring my own. Plus this place costs more.
