The park is clean, quiet, and has an amazing beach. I like that it’s a short walk to town.

The spectacular views of Lake Superior and location (walking distance to "downtown" Grand Marais) is a 5. Excellent! Close to Pictured Rocks Park and its many sites. Beautiful community park. Restrooms spotless. I will camp there again. The wifi is dreadfully unreliable. Most days I could not connect or if I did it would drop after a small period of time. Unfortunately I had some work to do and this was a problem for both my wife and I at site #11 for all 6 days we were there. I was using the Woodland Guest connection. I saw a Woodland 5gb and 2.4gb that had more bars but the front desk knew nothing about those two connections. I called the Manager's cell about these two connections but my call was never returned. The lady at the front desk said that they planned upgrades at some point which was good to hear but no help during my trip.

Very nice park and well maintained. Bathroom/shower-house was cleaned daily and never out of supplies (toilet paper, paper towel, etc). Had a lake view site which had a great view of Lake Superior and had all the amenities (electric, water, fire pit). Neighbor sites were a little close but everyone was friendly. AT&T cell service was good enough with two bars on LTE network. Park also had WiFi available if you were near a few locations in the Park. (Main office and Pavilion) Easy walk into town to restaurants and groceries. Also, Sunsets on the beach were amazing! Would definitely recommend!!

The facility is well located, and well equipped - and efficiently operated. At least some sites, however, are unlevel and quite tricky to get in (too narrow with big trees). Ours was # 96: get a different site! While we managed - it was less than ideal and so not a 5 star.

Site 50 - square, spacious. Other sites looked on top of each other. Hooked up to electric didnt bother with water as only stayed one night and it was on the opposite side of site plus needed two hoses to connect. Reviews said this might happen. Back in on all sites has a walking row to bathhouse in between. Reality is it is tight and you can hear your neighbors. But location is seeking feature, on the beach. Walk to town or rent a bike, or atv. Head into National lakeshore. Definitely would visit again

A beautiful view and newer restrooms (a few snags there, including auto-flushing not really working and shower pressure variations). Our site was not level at all, and had a pretty big dip where the camper would sit. Leveling and grass planting would be nice throughout the whole park.

Sites were small, open, and not particularly pretty. However the beach was wonderful. Very convenient to get there. WiFi was good. I didn’t use the bathhouse. All in all, it was just fine!

We were helped by the campground host after hours which was nice since we’ve never been there before. We loved the access to Superior beach from the grounds. The new restrooms are very nice the older ones still were decent as well. Definitely awesome the Dream Bean Coffee shop was across the street-delicious! Grand Marais is a sweet ‘lil town & we’ll be back!

Sites are very small and tightly packed together. Quiet hours were not enforced and the whole park reeked of pot at all hours. Wifi was extremely slow or nonexistent unless you paid for access. The showers and bathrooms were excellent and very clean. Close to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
