Park is in need of improvements - only one bathhouse, showers dirty, 3 of 4 dryers not working, site not level, roads in need of new crush n run. It was just tired … Would not stay there again,

I was disappointed by the amount of trash on the ground all over the campground. Nature does not seem to be a priority. While we had a tent site (that had plenty of poison ivy without signage) my parents had a cabin. Since the rain was coming we switched to a cabin for our last two nights. The fridge did not work (but we weren’t using it) and the door did not open all the way without force. Although I didn’t mind these things I thought the staff would want to know. The older staff I encountered were rude and dismissive. However, the younger staff I encountered were always concerned and tried their hardest to answer questions and make sure we were comfortable. There are a lot of people living (yes year round) at this campsite and I was appalled by this one big furry dog left on a sunny porch all day, begging to go inside. Another camper informed us this is a regular occurrence for that dog. The best part of the stay was the lake, but only during the week. On the weekend there is a small entry fee for non campers to use the water and boy do they! It was so packed on the weekend that we skipped even trying it out until Monday. In a pinch we would come back but I don’t see why I would pick this place as a priority in my future camping endeavors.
