The park looks really nice and most of the staff seem to really enjoy being at work. However, we were not aware that we came during "off season" at which there was nothing but the pool open.... Not even the store! So, we found out we were overcharged during check-in after 3pm and were told we would have a limited time credit of $xx dollars. Well, they knew the store was closed until the following Friday and we were only there from Sunday til' Tuesday 11am... Kind of a scam if you ask me. On top of that, we basically had to beg and were treated like we were putting some people out of their way just to let our kids do some of the activities. Make sure you call beforehand so that you know that everything is closed EXCEPT the pool... there is no dining, no activities, etc., just the pool. We had to clean up the animal hair that was in the cabin before letting our service dog in, there are NO linens which we found out at check-in, etc., kind of a crappy way to start the vacation and a lot of money spent for two nights ($500+) for almost no amenities, activities, or basic linens. Not to mention the wasps we had to kill and that I was stung by in our cabin. All-in-all, we will not be back :( This was the 2nd time here and this time was pretty dang crummy. Other military families that we ran into felt the same way like it was a total waste of money... especially when there were several people working just riding around constantly zooming by in the golf carts. The store should have been open... food/dining at the least should have been available... Just, make sure you call ahead.
