Celebrating the Best Campgrounds to Visit on Campspot

There are countless ways to spend your time camping and we’re proud to partner with business owners that help campers have unique and memorable experiences outdoors.

This year’s award categories include:

  • Top Campgrounds in the USA
  • Most Popular Campgrounds in the USA
  • Top Campgrounds for Families
  • Top Campgrounds with a View
  • Top Campgrounds for First-Timers
  • Top Camping Sites
  • Top Campground Design

Selection Methodology for Campground Winners

All campgrounds featured on Campspot Marketplace were eligible for a Campspot Award. To determine Campspot Awards winners, we used a combination of specific criteria, campsite bookings data, and public park information to create shortlists. These shortlists were then presented to our 2022 Campspot Awards panelists—a group of outdoors industry professionals. Together, they voted to select the recipients in each category.

“We’ve been fortunate to have stayed at many of these nominated campgrounds, and as difficult as it was to rank the Campspot Awards winners, it was a pleasure to relive memories we’ve made on the road and camping.” —Campspot Awards Panelists Tyler D. Way & Kendra Clapp Olguín, ONE-Y-ONE
