Alpen Rose RV Park — Reviews

This is a great camp ground! The grounds were very well maintained and the large trees provided some great shade. The front desk people were extremely friendly and the little store has a nice assortment of local treasures and RV goods. The restrooms were very clean. We had the on site pizza 1 night and it was a nice treat. The close proximity to Durango is convenient without being in town. They are pet friendly and have a huge pet play area and even a dog wash. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

Good/helpful staff. Clean facility. Need to heat the pool and put some chairs by the pool.

Sap from Elm tree on car and RV required washing off. It would have been nice to be told about the sap when checking in so we would know what to expect. Everything else OK.

The grounds were well kept, showers were clean. Issues: With the rates paid for camping, it is not appropriate to charge a child $15 per day to cast a fishing pole, another $10 per fish if one fish is dead or caught and kept. Even if it were to be catch and release, the host said it had to be taken to the store and shown to the store worker first. There isn’t anywhere to sit at the pool, but adults are required to watch children who are 14 yrs old.

Nice park with plenty of room and shade

Nicely kept park, bathrooms were clean, which is a must for me. Everyone there was exceptional nice and helpful. Peaceful and nicely quiet. We would go back and would recommend it to anyone!

The location of this RV Park was perfect for anything you want to see in the Durango area!! The amenities they have available at the park are so many and perfect for any size family! The huge dog park was perfect for our five year old lab that never tires of his ball. We recommended this park to our adult children who have kids that would love the pool, volleyball and fire pit area just to name a few. Very friendly people and easy check in procedure.

We were greeted by the friendliest man! He gave us a good rundown of all the wonderful amenities and helped us get settled into our spot. Our dogs loved loved loved the 2 acre dog park that even had an obstacle course on it :^)

Best campsite and nicest employees ever! Maintenance Man was having issues with something that happened before we arrived but he was very nice and informative and super helpful. Front office ladies were amazing and super nice too. Well maintained, clean, friendly, awesome place to stay.

Everything was clean and well groomed. Staff was excellent. The bad, the internet was? Well was there internet? Please have a usable internet for next visit. Great place near our first home when we lived there.
