You got to be kidding me. Aspen Acres Campground is CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!!!! What is wrong with you PEOPLE. There was an Aspen Acres Wildfire that resulted in evacuation and closure. We were NEVER informed of this disaster. CampSpot apparently was not notified either. We never stayed there. We made our reservations on April 3rd, 2026 for anticipated arrival on Septmber 27 through October 4th and had to make last minute arrangements. All our attempts to contact Aspen Acres Campground went UNANSWERED, both PHONE and EMAIL for refund. We finally called our credit card company and were very pleased they were responsive and gave us our refund. It was a shame that nature caused this catastrophe (I understand the power company for the area was liable) and we hope that everyone was safe and uninjured. Hope Aspen Acres Campground recovers. It's a beautiful area.

We did not get to stay. The park was closed due to a fire and we got no advance notice. Hoping everything works out for them but sad we were charged and never notified when fire started well before our stay

It rained most of the time while there, but achieved plenty of R&R. The roads and campsite were not a muddy mess. The grounds are well maintained.

Really enjoyable camp experience. We were in a secluded tent spot for the majority of our stay and it was peaceful hanging out with the birds. I saw about 20 species just sitting at my site! There was an incident with another family's dogs getting loose and even though it was after office hours, the owners came by to help and everything was fine.

We have been to Aspen Acres three times now and we will definitely be back. The campground is beautiful with lots of trees, grassy areas, a kid's playground and a dog park area. It is very well maintained and the staff is super friendly and helpful! There is no cell serviceand the only internet is at the office area but this is one of the things we live about this campground. A place to get away! Lake Isabel is just down the road and it is beautiful as well with lots of space to fish, a trail and you can use non motorized water craft. Bishop's Castle is just down the road the other direction from the lake and if you haven't been you should at least go once. All this to say that the campground is a great place to go and there are plenty of things to do nearby.

Aspen Acres is a perfect name for the campground since the campsites are located among the gorgeous Aspens. The staff is knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. The quiet, well maintained campground is located on Rt. 165 between picturesque Lake Isabel and Bishops Castle.

When we arrived the office was closed. Couldn't find our campsite. Then it started raining nobody's fault there, 😞. Campground looks nice but didn't stay because of the rain. Reservation was paid for in advance our loss. The trip up the mountain was beautiful. Wild turkeys and deer along the way.

It was very good

The cancellation policy is one of the most egregious I’ve seen in the RV camping community. When your motorhome has mechanical problems, there is no guarantee how quickly you can get it back from the garage to continue your summer adventures. That was the case with Aspen Acres and quite frankly it’s a nice spot, but we will never return.

The staff make it a breeze to check in and out. The amenities were more than we expected and the atmosphere was top tier. 10/10 recommend

This place is awesome! There's plenty of space and tons to do. While some complain about the service, that's not the fault of the incredibly helpful and all-around great owners. If you need service while camping, then maybe camping just isn't for you.

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. Facilities are clean and the 24/7 access to the rec house is perfect. We love it here.
