Calling Lake Municipal Campground — Reviews

We love this campground, we come for 10 days every summer and the fishing is amazing but we were very disappointed when leaving and stopped at the dump station to find no water available for cleaning waste hose. Also there was no hose available at the fish cleaning station to get water to the fish cleaning area, you had to have your own bucket. As I write this I realize these are very much first world problems but were services that were previously available and appreciated!!

Not much area for people to sit and enjoy the lake. Also no potable water in and around the campsite.

Very nice lake good fishing . A little more attention to the washrooms and availability to potable water would be nice.

Fishing was good. I caught a 75 cm Walleye. Fishing station had no water. Top should be stainless steel for health reasons. Washroom only had one sink working. Dock needs bumpers all around. Potable water would sure be nice. Grass could be cut more often to keep dandelions in check. The old boat launch needs to be cleaned up. Wood & metal pieces sticking out of the water.

The insects are unbearable. No see um bites and mosquito bites insane. This needs to be addressed. There are controls for this. No water at fish cleaning station, not sure why that was moved to parking lot. Poor decision. no water for filling rv, so this price it too high. Price should reflect no water to fill rv and poor dump station. Cannot fill fresh water at dump or anywhere. Why? You need to spend money here and improve it. Some sites too small, everyone has boats here.

Fire pit was full of cigarette butts!! Grass needed to be trimmed around campsite, washrooms, etc. Small shrubs/trees between the sites had been cut down, but the trunks were left sticking about 6-8 inches up out of the ground, making it very dangerous to walk. The new fish cleaning station, has no source of water for rinsing off the station after cleaning the fish. Bathrooms need some painting and some TLC!

Unfortunately fish cleaning station went back 10 steps this year. Other then that Campsite and staff are great.

We always enjoy this campground but the services are going down hill. No attempt to get shower house going, the fish cleaning stations did not have the water turned on, as well no water at the dump station. Campground was busy so no reason not to get these services back up running again.

Our site 12 assigned to us was very small. Yet other larger sites sat empty all weekend. No water available anywhere, even to clean at fish. Cleaning station or sani dump to clean hose. Other than power, campsite lacked all basic amenities

On the website it stated our 30’ rr would fit, however the site was too small. Thankfully a worker called his office and we were able to get a big enough lot to fit our trailer.
