Hospitality: AAA+ Sites: AAA+ For being a campground right off the road, this place was magical. I was escorted upon arrival to my site and immediately fell in love. It was secluded and could only be seen by other walk-in sites. It was all-day shade and on the water. Oh, I could wade in that river for hours! I was able to put my tent on soft moss and dirt, and hang my hammock where my dog's run would overlap. It was perfect. Yes, I was visited by critters at night, but I knew that would happen with all of the raccoon tracks everywhere. I cannot wait to book again.

Location was beautiful. Kim, Parker and family are wonderful hosts and very accommodating. Down the street from the big falls. Will go back when in the area

Campground was clean and well maintained. Owners were friendly. We had the best site in the campground and it was amazing. We had a great time and will return for sure.

What a relaxing weekend spent at Catawba Falls campground. Our site backed up to the creek and we had the sound of ripples for our listening pleasure. The campground is nothing fancy but has clean bathhouse, great play area for kids, owners are great. Loved being able to walk down the road to the trailhead for the Catawba Falls. (Grand Reopening was the same weekend we were there). Beautiful area.

The owners were incredibly nice and the campground was gorgeous! They also had the cleanest campground bathrooms I’ve ever seen.

Had a great time, service and location are great. Awesome customer service and location right off of 40 but far enough to not hear traffic. Campsite is on the Catawba River just down for trailhead of falls. I was so close to giving 5 stars. I gave 4 overall due to the near $60 rate, no sewer hookup at site, and how tight the spots are. Staff did mention expanding sites E1-10 but for now, it’s close quarters. I would definitely come back.

The facilities were so clean and easily accessible. The family who owns the campground are the NICEST and most kind, welcoming, and accommodating people. We could recommend this place more!

did have a site with full hook up, very tight spot , already 15 permanent residents ... close to a back road , nice river back to some sites , owners has some dogs that barkling a lot .... 35 min from Biltmore and Asheville

We had a wonderful stay at Catawba Falls Campground! We will definitely be back again hopefully soon! The hosts are amazingly kind folks and very welcoming and accommodating. The campground is very clean and has all the utilities you could possibly need. One of the best parts, it is right next to Catawba River and some campsites are right on the creek/river. It is also only 2 min drive to Old Fort and only a 30 min drive to Asheville. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back again soon.

Absolutely the best camping experience ever! It was our first time out with a used pop-up we had just purchased. Kim and Parks were the best hosts ever and so helpful. They made what could have been a really bad weekend quite memorable in a very good way. Camp here if you are in the area. You will not regret it.

It was a totally welcoming experience, lovely owners, cared for accommodations, and a sweet setting backing up to Catawba Creek. We were in a full hookup site, requested on rather short notice. The campground has many long-term residents but sites were well-kept and all the people we met were very pleasant. Too bad the falls were closed but, next time. We will definitely return!

What an awesome place to camp, rest and relax !

The campsites are very narrow. Our slide out was right on the line and our awning was a tad over the line. No room and way close together. The bathrooms were not cleaned daily and no one was in the office since we e been here. On the plus side, we are backed up to a beautiful stream.
