Cheam Fishing Village and Campground — Reviews

Campsite was nice, peaceful. But on not one, but two different stays the owner came up and tried to make me pay double, when I was well within my limits of 2 tents, and 4 adults per site (as terms and conditions). When I tried to explain she cut me off and sped off in her car.

there was only cold water shower, the manager was quite rude the entire time as well. Will not be coming back

The place is absolutely beautiful. Enjoy watching the fishing charters come and go. We have a new camp host "Rose". Very friendly and helpful. She strictly enforces the camp rules so we can all enjoy our stay.

It was a great spot during our on-the-way portion of our trip. The porta-poty was relatively clean, the campground was really quiet, and the beach area near boat launch was a great spot for our kids to play in the sand in the evenings.

Our spot was on the river. It was great! Close to town but still quiet. You felt like you were way out of town. Our only issues had nothing to do with the campsite but with the smoke and the fact that we weren't allowed to fish for salmon. Still..the campsite was great

This was a great stop-over spot for us. Easy access and wonderful riverside spot. Thanks for a great stay.

The place is not crowded, and it was a very good campground. The only thing is there are trains passing by just across the river every half an hour which didn't give the campers a good sleep.

There was only two out houses available for the entire campsite and it was a long weekend. I won’t go into details how full and disgusting they were other than that. It’s a great campsite, the lady who manages it does the best she can with what she has to work with. She tells me things will get better next year with improvements. I hope so because it is such a gem there on the river.

Es gab nicht wirklich eine Sanitäre-Anlage. Es gab NUR Plums-Klos. Sehr dreckig und ungepflegt. Schade, da der Platz noch schön wäre - aber leider sehr vernachlässigt und teuer.

The river and mountain view is spectacular. The campsite is quiet and friendly. Definitely my favorite. Been going here for the last five years.

Nice camping right on the Fraser River. It wasn’t busy when we were there, so it was very quiet. Very nice camp host. We were in site 14. Hookups were a little tricky. Bring extension cords and long hoses. But the plus is you are at the end. Quiet and private. Oh and bring mosquito paraphernalia! We will go back.

The campsite is in a beautiful spot directly beside the river. Most of the time it was lovely and peaceful. Unfortunately it was near to a rail track, with trains passing about every half hour, including during the night, and hooting 8 times as they passed. Lack of a dump station on site was also a minus, although there was a public dumpsite in the town which could be used for $10.

Amazing view! Service is overwhelmingly friendly and always present and available. Everything you could wish for was there, even a shower. You should bring some looneys for the shower-project if you don't want to experience the most refreshing and healthy shower of your life.

Lovely to look at the mountains and the water. We camped with friends and had a GREAT time!!! The caretake Dennis was absolutely fantastic too! He was super helpful ... Great ambassador to the park. We will be back!

Riverfront Site photos & reality didn't quite mesh; alot more "rustic" than anticipated. Gravel with some grass patches but mostly dirt based site made it dusty when dry & muddy after rain. Overall Great being on the River & Friendly Staff thus 4 stars vs 3.
