The park was really dry and run down. It could be really nice if they had people watering and keeping thinks green and clean.

Although many reviews complained about snakes, spiders, skunks, dog poop, bees and wasps, and poor bathroom conditions, we found only 1 snake sunning itself on the hiking trail at the highest elevation. It left when it saw us coming. No skunks, no dog poop around our site, no bees, 1 or 2wasps that had zero interest in us and what I would call a normal amount of spiders in the area. They only get 4 stars due to bathroom conditions . We inspected 4 facilities and the one furthest from the entrance seemed to have the most issues with 1 plugged up toilet and some kind of water leak at an outside corner with water coming out of a pipe with such force it was creating a trench. Over all none of them smelled like they were clean and the main one near the playground/beach had inoperable lighting. There was enough light coming in the windows so it might have been a cost saving condition with a park that wasn't full. Beautiful spot though.

The grounds have been a little neglected. It's very dry this year so it is understandable. Maintenance is lacking.

The only real problem I faced with my stay was a group in tent spot near me had a dog that would bark continuously and into the night. Other than that my kids and I enjoyed our time.

It is a nice campground

Bathrooms needed cleaning, shower room closest to my site only had cold water even after i brought it to maintenance attention , toilet paper needed to be refilled. Leaves piled in rows next to paths held mosquitoes. Spiders! Wasps in electrical box, got sting when opened it..

Grounds could use some work, looked like the sprinklers were not working, but facilities were decent and clean, and hosts were pleasant. Enjoyed the water.

Staff were all so kind and helpful! Camp host came around daily to see if we needed anything and how our stay was. This has been somewhere that we have gone out and stayed for years with our family and will continue.

Bathrooms and showers horrible

quiet camp, beautiful setting by the river, nice place to have kids ride bikes and go fishing

We have camped here in the past and enjoyed it. They seem to be very understaffed and unable to keep up with needed tasks. Poorly maintained. No toilet paper, running faucets, leaky water hookup.

We have stayed here several times, but not since 2024. The park seems fairly run down, grass not mowed, lots of weeds. Not much evidence of staff, some garbage piled up. Sad, it’s such a beautiful spot.

The park was very unkept. Most of the lawn looks like it had not been mowed yet this year dry leaves from the trees from last fall were still on the ground. The grass was dry and weeds were everywhere. None of the spots had been cleaned and nothing has been watered. It used to be a beautiful park.

The grounds are not mowed or kept, bathrooms are gross, but what is completely unacceptable, is that you allowed the drug addicts out of Clarkston to move into the camp grounds. We PAID for our spot and left early due to this non sense. If we wanted to stay with those type of people we would have stayed with them for free!!!

Beautiful Campsite! Friendly Staff

The camp ground was a little unkempt and the bathrooms were dirty. The weeds at our tent sight ripped holes in the bottom of our tent. The area was quite and people were friendly.

I did not feel safe here, did not end up staying.

The location was terrific - right on the river. The grounds were pretty, but it was obvious no one had been mowing as there were broken tree branches and old leaves everywhere. The bathrooms and shower rooms had paper/garbage all over them and mold galore in the shower areas. It was sad seeing a place that could have been so outstanding looking so unkept.

We like this campground but we're not happy how this place is taking care of. Looks like they never water the grass and it's so dry.
