I think that our experience was colored by the fact that we stayed in our Popup Camper, which required a lot of set up in heat, with black flies and little shade. Everyone else in the RV resort stayed in RV’s and we hardly ever saw anyone leave their RV while we were there for 2 nights.
We were fortunate to get a camp site right by Goose Creek with beautiful views. Also, the staff/ owners were friendly, helpful and accommodating when we asked to change our original site to one right by the water. Much appreciated! There were 2 very clean and air conditioned bathroom/showers.
Overall, we have not had a lot of camping experience and have always stayed in State Campgrounds where trash receptacles are close and the bathhouses have multiple toilets and showers.
Lastly, State campgrounds are much more affordable.
