Nice sites, plenty of space between you and your neighbors. Clean restrooms and free firewood. Nice place to walk and be sure to check out the long pier.

We reserved two electric sites for two nights June 29-31. Because there was no water for us to use on Sunday, we were forced to vacate our last day and night which was a loss of $60.00. We visited with the person in charge of reservations at the Comminity Center in Staples and were told that we could not receive reimbursement for the $60.00 because we were forced to leave less than 24 hours to our check out time on Monday. We had no intentions of vacating our reservation for Sunday night to Monday am, but with small children and no toilet or bathing facilities, we had no choice but to pack up and leave. I feel this situation warrants the $60.00 refund even if we were forced to leave less than 24 hours before our checkout time on Monday the 30 th. Dower lake is a real gem and we enjoy gathering as a family there, but this situation will have us reconsidering camping there in the future. And that is a real shame for us and other people who were without water during their stay.
