Dower Lake Recreation Area — Reviews

I was not impressed with the condition of the showers and bathrooms. Not that clean, no soap in the bathroom, no hooks in the shower at all for your cloths, towels etc. Also there are SO many speed bumps going in and out of the campground. The campground itself if nice and reasonably priced.

We just love that place!

Kids had a great time. Peaceful and good camp spots.

Nice spot, not many campsites in use during the week. Not much to do in the area

Swimming area and docks by camping area are overgrown with aquatic plants. Would be nice to have them cleared out to provide adequate swimming and boating access.

Lots of fun things to do, nice and peaceful , will definitely stay again

Crowded, noisy, buggy, & the small swimming area was crowded by Lily pads. Instead of staying 2 nights we left after one. Oh, and the rinse water for the RV dump didn't seem to work, although the person next in line told me you just have to keep cranking on it. Too late for me! I was severely disappointed & would not recommend this campground.

Cause we couldn’t stay both nights cause of the heavy rain:(
