We really enjoyed our weekend stay. We really liked our electric/water hookup spot by the water. Just a short path from the campsite to the water. Lots of shade to stay cool. We rode our bikes around the park and outside the park. My husband also caught several fish too. The park was very clean. Overall, a nice quiet getaway.

Very nice, quiet peaceful park, plenty of shade, lots were gravel but level for the most part. Really tight with big rig, got a 44' 5th wheel in but a real skills test, drive needs trimmed back and higher. Back in was fairly easy, excellent water pressure, 30a plug ran 2 ACs. Host was very friendly and helpful. All and all a great away. Would recommend for medium size campers but ir is possible to get larger one in, takes some maneuvering.

The restroom and shower houses were incredibly dirty and some of the showers are missing curtains. The campgrounds were also over run with mosquitos, it seems they need to spray for bugs and clean the restrooms. We left a day early and will not be returning.

My favorite so far. Nice, level shaded spot. Plenty of room. Quiet. The beautiful lake was right outside our back door. We loved it and hated to leave.

Hawthorne park is amazing! The staff is more amazing! Our camp host is truly the BEST!! I wish we didn’t have to leave :( I do not want to go anywhere else, Hawthorne park is perfect for my family… :):):):)

Lovely spot. Loved the lake. Find it bizzare that you have to wait for all the campers at the dump station . To leave the park.
