Beautiful campground right on Lake Superior. Camp host Debbie and her husband were very friendly and do a great job! Will definitely be back next year

Beautiful spot on Lake Superior! Sunsets are amazing!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful campground and clean bathrooms.

Our stay was wonderful - the weather....not so much! Bathrooms are nice and very clean. Wonderful camping neighbors as well! We started out with a hiccup by leaving a padlock key at home, and the wonderful camp Hosts were able to get a bolt cutter to help us out!! Also, our screen tent blew over while we were away and again....they took the time to get it upright and to call and leave me a message!!! We'll be back!!!!

It's a beautiful spot along the shore of Lake Superior!

This was a wonderful place overall to camp! The only drawback was that while they had firewood available on the honor system, it was kept behind a locked fence and we couldn't find anyone to open it while we were there. Ended up getting some firewood at a local bar just a mile away but still would have been nice to not have to make the extra trip!

Forrest sites a bit small and not very level for tents. Great place clean bathrooms. Beach sites are awesome.

Always a great time coming to Herbster, clean facilities, and the best part is being so close and able to walk to Lake Superior.

What an amazing little gem on the shores of Lake Superior. Check in was easy online and the campground was marked well so finding our site was simple. We were in Site 29 and had great views of the lake (and big ships in the distance). An easy walk across the road to a beautiful beach. Firewood is available if needed. So happy we found this.

Was happy to have the spot for a couple of days with our late booking. We are 42” making it hard to maneuver for dump and into site 22 but we made it okay.

Facilities were clean and well stocked. Grounds were well kept. Although I miss the quaint campground from 20 years ago, the town has done a great job of providing showers, bathrooms, and other amenities for the large quantity of people it now serves. Quiet time was quiet even with a full campground. Everyone was very respectful of one another and friendly.

Showers need to be revised. Pulling a rope for water does not work for little folks and a hassle for all! WiFi was really poor! Do not count on it! Beautiful setting though! Love the Lake!

Perfect central location to do all things south shore. Hike Meyer's Beach and Lost Creek Falls, cool off in Siskiwit Falls or at the Mouth of the Brule. Visit Ehler's and Nikkis in Cornucopia, Elsie Blue in Herbster, ride the ferry from Bayfield to Madeline Island OR just relax on the beach right across the road - perfect place to catch the sunset. The secret is out on this campground so book early.
