Had a wonderful time at Hester’s Bottom! Great sites, beautiful campground, great staff, clean and nice facilities and great little hang out area near the store. Loved it here and will definitely be back!

New spots are fantastic!! So peaceful and low key. Really enjoyed this trip.

Great private camp sites on the lake and bath houses are clean.

The campsites are beautiful and private. The bath house is clean and maintained daily. I can see that a lot of love and care goes into making your camping experience the best that it can possibly be. The General store is there to meet your every need. The owner loves people and the people love Hester’s Bottom located in Historic Mt. Carmel in McCormick County SC. Lake Thurmond & Hester’s Bottoms is my Happy Place.

Amazing as always 🙂spacious sites, clean bathhouses, TOP NOTCH STORE, and friendly staff ❤️ Also-wi-fi. Yes, we all want to “un-plug” camping, but this makes us able to even work remotely if needed. I think it created so much flexibility as a working family 😀
