3 of us stayed in the regular cabin without pets. The size of the cabin was great, spacious enough for all of us as there were 2 big bunks and one of them had a larger lower bed. There were also plenty of outlets in the walls for all your electronic needs and the A/C worked really well keeping it super cool during the hot days (reached into the 90s!). We absolutely loved that the cabin was right on the water, giving you your own private space to enjoy fishing, etc. There are definitely tons of big fish in the water! Unfortunately, we did not catch any, but they are definitely there! It was also great having the canoe & kayak rentals available. Staff is very friendly., so that’s a big plus : ) We appreciated the clean restrooms and showers, especially that each toilet and shower were in completely separate rooms in the building for more privacy! For improvements, I would say investment in new paddles (one that was handed to us was broken in half, but I requested another and was quickly provided an unbroken one), also just knowledge of the boat and paddles that suit the rider(s)) (we were given a couple other paddles that were too long, but, again, this also may have just been what was available). So either invest in new equipment and variety of sizes or bring the rental price down due to not having proper equipment to rent out. The mattresses were also much too firm. I think it may be due to the large flat wood that is placed vertically over the horizontal wood pieces under the bunk mattresses, but not totally sure. For our kiddo, the mattress wasn’t too firm, but for us parents, our shoulder blades and backs were very sore. I guess the last improvement would be some deep cleaning: there were spider webs & spider eggs above the beds (a lizard skin flew off the ceiling fan the first time we turned it on lol) and theres mold inside the a/c. All in all, our stay was very nice and we will definitely be back again. Highly recommended for a fun family getaway!
