I definitely won't be camping back to this campsite. We had music playing at night loud enough for us to enjoy it. While the other campsites nearby were still awake, the rangers approached us in an unprofessional manner. Instead of addressing the situation calmly, they threatened us with a citation for trespassing if we didn't turn off the music. I was shocked by their tone and the threats they made. We had paid for three nights and left the next day. This behavior was unacceptable.

Because the cabin 11 was dirty, cobwebs in corners and top windows, baseboards in need of repair obviously something leaked on them and screen door was completely broken and unusable. They need to leave instructions on how to use the air conditioners. There are no instructions. There was human hair in the bedsheets when we pulled back the covers. We left the place cleaner than it was when we got there. I took a video and pictures.

Campsite , lake and out house were clean . People respected the noise ordinance time . The spot we got was great close to the lake and restrooms .

The bathrooms are very dirty, the toilets in the bathroom batteries are also very dirty, I really find them very expensive for the little they offer.

Lake Camanche is a favorite annual destination for our friends. Despite the restrictions this year, we still had an amazing time together. The restrooms were kept clean. The primitive site we stayed at could have been checked for hooks and dead fish before our arrival, but unfortunately, it wasn’t, and we learned that the hard way. Aside from that, the maintenance team did a good job of cleaning up trash around the bins during our stay.

It is unfortunate that no water crafts of any kind are not allowed and also no alcoholic beverages allowed. I understand the reasonings but that’s a main reason to camp. Having a nice cold beer on an hot day. Also the restrooms were not equipped to handle such a large crowd over Holiday weekend. Showers were always plugged up, toilets overflowing. I won’t return mainly due to NO ALCOHOL in the camp sites.

My wife and I deliberately choose a time when the park would not be busy. We exceeded our expectations. A very peaceful experience and was able to enjoy the parks wild life.
