Gate closes at 8 pm with no check in after and even if youā€™re already checked in you must wait for security to drive by and let you in. We waited and waited, a park resident let us in - no security no ranger ever showed up. Fire pit was full and should have been cleaned before our check in.

Our stay at Lake Camanche was perfect and peaceful. We were able to enjoy the birds and the pond area. There were only a few campers and all was quiet. We enjoy camping there at this time of the year-youā€™re able to enjoy nature instead of having to listen to people yelling or loud music.
