Excellent love it there , first time stay and enjoyed every day! Not to happy with the arrival, when arrive there, they provided me with map of park and highlighted the supposed reserved area maccasssin I believe after about 30 to 45 min searching for my spot I decided to go back to gate entrance as ask if there was something wrong with reservation or map and person at gate said no, that everything was correct, after another 30 min searching I decided to go ask again and demanded to check again and realized I was sent to wrong spot which was comamanche area, I arrive late evening and was dark which made it difficult to scan area.

We were there for the Halloween festivities. It was fun. The only concerning situation is the entrance gate to Lake Camanche closing at 8:00 p.m. We wanted to go into town to get food after Trick or Treat but could not as we would not be able to reenter the park.

Lot of ants on our site and on leaves on tree. Ants were getting inside RV on neighbors site.

We got there on Monday and there was 2 other campers besides us and my sister that we are camping with. On Tuesday the other 2 campers had left and we had the entire campground to ourselves! Was a weird, kind of eerie feeling? We brought our new paddle boards and had the lake to ourselves too. I think the NO ALCOHOL thing has killed the campgrounds!? We did have to have our paddleboards inspected too, no problem took 10 minutes. First time we had so much wildlife all around us! That was super cool!

Not crowded. Lake water temperature was a warm 79 degrees. The location is fairly close to home. Campsites were clean. Neighboring campers followed the noise rules, i.e. it was quiet at night.
