We were unable to make the trip and I tried for two days to call the campground and they never answered their phone. It’s very frustrating if they don’t have a message machine or something so we really don’t know what the campsite is like since we didn’t get to make it, and I did want to renew it, but the way it goes we probably won’t be going there again. They can’t even answer their phones.

The only reason I am giving it a 4 stars is because quiet hours was not strictly implemented. During our 2 nights stay, after 10pm to until between midnight to 1am a distant neighbor was very loud. We can hear them loud and clear from our campsite. I guess, if no one will call the Night Patrol to complain, then no one from the park rangers will really know that someone or a group is violating the quiet time hours.

Stayed in Mocassin Campsite, it was infested with small sand mites, which infested our tent overnight and covered my son and his friends, not enough bathrooms to support campers, and they are extremely filthy, and infested with cockroaches, other campers were extremely rude walking through our site and leaving poopy diapers by the lake shore where we were swimming, loud music and campers coming in late pounding in tent stakes with 2x4s at midnight, quiet time not enforced. Store is well stocked, staff polite. We tried fishing the trout pond with no luck but we didn’t give it a fair try only hit it on our way out. Lake was refreshing as it was over 100deg during our stay.

Lake Comanche is one of the best lake for camping, we have been camping for the last 20 yrs!

Having time limitations when you can enter an exit Security guard wasn't friendly when you wanna come back in he was giving our party issues trying to get back in. We clearly had a tag on our window.

My family and I had a great time tent camping. The site had great views, the water spigots were conveniently located near us which was great. We had our portable toilet which made it easy for us because there were long lines for the bathrooms.

Everything was great, the only thing I noticed that Bathroom and showers need to clean frequently, need the cold shower is hard to set up.

First time camping here. Stayed at monument rv park. Spots a little tighter than I usually like but everyone was respectful. Sites themselves plenty big enough for our 23 foot RV. Easy access for fishing and swimming. Dog was able to swim at several spots. The fact we could swim with our dog was amazing. Only complaint is there was very loud and somewhat inappropriate music playing toward the evening at the beach area inside the rv park. It definitely deterred me from taking an evening swim.
