Lakehouse Resort & Campground - Comprehensive Guest Policy
1. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES
RV & Tent Sites Check-In: 3:00 PM CST
RV & Tent Sites Check-Out: 11:00 AM CST
Cabin Check-In: 4:00 PM CST
Cabin Check-Out: 10:00 AM CST
Late check-ins are allowed at any time with prior arrangement and management approval.
Late check-outs may be available until 12 PM with a $25 fee (based on availability).
2. CANCELLATION POLICY
Standard Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations made 14 or more days before check-in: Full refund minus a 10% processing fee.
• Cancellations made 3–13 days before check-in: Refund of 50% of the total reservation amount.
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours (3 days) before check-in: No refund.
• No-shows and early departures: No refunds provided.Airbnb Reservations: Follow Airbnb platform cancellation terms.
3. REFUND POLICY
No refunds are given for weather, early departure, violation of rules, or eviction.
Manager discretion applies to exceptional cases.
Refunds will be made in the original form of payment.
Approved check refunds may take up to 30 days to process.
4. PAYMENTS & RESERVATIONS
All daily/weekly reservations must be paid in full at time of booking.
5. PET POLICIES
Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times.
Clean up after your pets immediately. Waste must be bagged and disposed of properly.
Max 2 pets per site (unless management approves otherwise).
No pets allowed in buildings, restrooms, laundry, playground, pool areas, or clubhouse.
No pets allowed in any cabins, unless noted on reservation and in a pet friendly cabin. Pet fee of $250 will be charged if pet found to be in a non pet friendly cabin and not noted on reservation.
Pets are not allowed on any furniture (if staying in a pet friendly cabin) and must be kenneled in left unattended.
No unattended pets in cabins or left tied outside.
Excessive barking/aggressive behavior may result in removal without refund.
Proof of up-to-date vaccinations required upon request.
(exclusion of specific breeds may occur; consult management for approval.)
6. CHILDREN & SUPERVISION
Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
No unaccompanied minors in restrooms, playgrounds, or water areas.
Children must return to their site by dusk.
Bicycle and scooter riders must wear helmets and follow road rules.
No throwing rocks or damaging campground property.
7. VEHICLES, GOLF CARTS & SPEED LIMITS
Park speed limit: 5–10 MPH
One RV and up to two vehicles per site unless otherwise noted.
Do not park in vacant or other guests’ sites, on grass, or in fire lanes.
Golf carts must be registered, insured, and operated only by licensed drivers aged 16+.
Headlights required after dusk.
Reckless driving or intoxicated operation is grounds for eviction.
No dirt bikes, ATVs, or 4-wheelers allowed.
8. QUIET HOURS
10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
One warning will be given about excessive noise. Second offense results in eviction without refund.
9. FIRES & FIREWOOD
Fires must be in designated fire rings only.
No open fires, trash burning, or oversized flames.
Firewood must be purchased onsite (no outside wood to avoid pests) or picked up on ground from wooded areas nearby campground.
Color flames and fire starters may be available at the store.
Burn bans may occur—check with the front desk.
10. PLAYGROUND & LAKES
Children under 16 must be supervised.
No glass, food, rough play, or loud music in playground areas.
Life vests required on lakes and aquatic attractions.
Water activities like inflatables, boating, or fishing must follow posted rules.
Catch and release fishing only. (no keeping fish from our lakes or cleaning fish from other lakes on property)
11. ELECTRICAL & WATER USAGE
Maximum provided amperage is 50 AMP. Guests are responsible for not exceeding limits.
No EV charging from pedestals (strictly prohibited).
No washing of RVs or vehicles without a permit or management approval.
Guests are not permitted to troubleshoot or repair campground electrical pedestals.
Report any issues to the office or for emergencies call 911
12. WIFI, STREAMING & DEVICE USE
WiFi is provided for basic use and not guaranteed for streaming or work purposes.
No illegal use or high-bandwidth downloads.
Use at your own risk—no guarantees on connectivity or speed.
13. TRASH & SITE CLEANLINESS
Dumpsters are provided—bagged trash only. Trash will be picked up around 10 am every morning if placed outside before 9-10 am by edge of cabin or RV site.
No furniture, electronics, mattresses, oil, chemicals, fish guts, or batteries in dumpsters. You are responsible for disposing of when you arrive back home and not dispose of on our property or around our property.
Do not place trash outside overnight.
No littering—$25 fine per occurrence may apply.
Campsites must be kept tidy. Clotheslines, tarps, or unsightly covers are prohibited.
14. PROHIBITED ITEMS & ACTIVITIES
Strictly prohibited: fireworks, firearms, BB guns, pellet guns, drones, ATVs, loud generators, external heaters, and illegal substances.
No vehicle repairs allowed onsite.
No hanging of laundry outside.
Smoking, vaping, marijuana use, and the use of any smoking devices are prohibited inside all cabins. Marijuana use and illegal drug use are prohibited anywhere on Lakehouse Resort property.
Evidence of smoking inside a cabin will result in a $500 Smoking Remediation Fee to cover odor removal, deep cleaning, laundering of linens, HVAC filter replacement, and other restoration necessary to prepare the cabin for future guests.
15. LAUNDRY & RESTROOMS
Laundry rooms are open 24/7 unless under renovation.
No hunting clothes, oil filled clothes, muddy clothes or items with excessive pet hair to be washed/dried in our laundry units. (laundry facilities or laundry in cabins)
Restrooms open 24/7 with scheduled cleaning.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Guests must leave these areas clean and report problems to management.
16. SITE NAVIGATION & COURTESY
Do not walk through other sites. Use roads and marked paths.
Keep all cords, hoses, and supplies within your site boundary.
No digging, cutting trees, or removing rocks or landscaping.
While our trees are maturing, nothing to be tied to or placed in trees.
17. VISITORS & GUEST REGISTRATION
Visitors must check in and may be required to pay a fee or wear a wristband.
Guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors.
Visitors must leave the park by 10 PM, unless staying overnight with prior approval.
18. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & MEDIA CONSENT
By entering the campground, guests consent to the use of photos or videos taken onsite for marketing or social media purposes.
No compensation will be provided.
19. LIABILITY WAIVER & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
All guests agree to waive liability and hold the campground harmless for injuries, damages, or losses from any cause, including natural conditions, wildlife, campfires, aquatic activities, or other guests’ conduct.
Campers understand they are assuming the risk of camping, including weather, injury, illness (e.g. COVID-19), or other unpredictable events.
The campground is not liable for property damage to RVs, vehicles, boats, or golf carts.
Eviction may occur without refund for violations of these terms.
20. EMERGENCIES & CONTACT INFO
In case of fire, medical, or law enforcement emergency, call 911 first.
Then notify park staff so we can direct emergency responders to your location.
Emergency contact forms are required for long-term guests.
