Park Rules & Policies
Welcome to Lakeshore RV Park! These policies help everyone have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable stay. Thank you for doing your part to keep the park clean, quiet, and welcoming for all guests.
Reservations & Payment
Deposit required: All reservations require advance payment of the first two nights, plus a $10 non-refundable processing fee.
Fee authority: All rates, fees, and charges are established by the City Council–adopted Rate & Fee Resolution (as amended from time to time). Amounts listed in these policies are provided for convenience; if a fee amount changes, the adopted resolution controls.
No subletting: Sites may not be sublet.
Registered occupant: Each site must be reserved under the name of the person occupying the site. Reservations may not be transferred.
Reservation name changes (change fee applies) are approved only by RV Park Staff and only to correct the name of the person actually reserving/occupying the site. Name changes may not be used to transfer, assign, or sublet a reservation from one party to another.
What your rate includes: Two licensed vehicles (your RV counts as one) and up to four people. Additional fees apply for extra people, with a maximum of 8 people (any age) per campsite.
Individual Site Reservations
Individual sites can be booked online up to 270 days in advance or by phone during Parks Office hours. Please ensure your reservation includes your contact information, deposit/payment, RV details (if applicable), and the number of guests.
Group Reservations (5+ sites)
Group Coordinator (“Wagon Master”): The Wagon Master is the group’s primary point of contact and serves as the single voice/representative for group communications with RV Park Staff. The Wagon Master does not gain authority to override park policies, transfer reservations, or approve reservation changes on behalf of other guests.
The Wagon Master may call (509) 682-8023 up to 9 months to-the-date in advance to coordinate a group reservation. Designated group sites are held for up to 3 business days for members to claim their site and pay the required deposit. Unclaimed sites return to the public reservation inventory.
Minimum group occupancy: Groups must arrive with a minimum of 83% of reserved sites occupied (or five site holders, whichever is greater). Groups that do not meet the 5-site minimum or the 83% threshold may lose group-reservation privileges for the following year.
Arrival-date lock for group reservations: Arrival dates for group reservations made up to 9 months in advance may not be changed. This prevents guests from blocking inventory by booking earlier dates they do not intend to use in order to secure later weeks ahead of others. No exceptions apply.
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in: After 2:00 PM. Early arrivals require prior authorization. Early arrivals may be approved only by RV Park Staff, at their discretion, as conditions allow (including site availability, staffing levels, safety, and operational capacity). The registered site holder must arrive first and present a valid ID.
Check-out: By 12:00 PM (noon) on your scheduled departure date. Late check-out requires prior authorization.
Site Use, Vehicles & Equipment
Approved RV types: Motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, and other dealership-sold campers. All RVs must be well maintained and fully operational. A truck camper counts as two vehicles when removed from the truck bed.
RV sites without a tent pad: Sites without a tent pad require an RV and may not be reserved for tent-only camping.
Parking into sites: Pull-through sites must enter cab first. All other sites are back-in only so the utility pedestal is on the left (driver’s side).
Tent placement: Tents placed off the 16’ x 16’ tent pad or asphalt parking pad must be removed from the grass by 10:00 AM and may not return until after 6:00 PM.
Mats/rugs/ground cover: Mats, rugs, carpet, or ground cover must remain on the asphalt pad and may not be placed on grass.
Minimum Stays & Seasonal Restrictions
Memorial Day Weekend: A 3-night minimum stay is required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights). All standard park policies apply; due to heavy use, guests should expect stricter compliance expectations and heightened enforcement to support crowding and safety control needs.
Saturday-to-Saturday (Sites 51–132, Areas D & E): From the first Saturday after July 4 through the third Saturday in August, these sites must be reserved in 7-day Saturday-to-Saturday blocks (maximum of 3 weeks).
Changes, Cancellations & No-Shows
Changes: A $15 fee applies to change the date range or site number.
Cancellations: To receive a refund, cancel at least 21 days before arrival. Cancellations more than 21 days in advance receive the deposit back minus a $25 cancellation fee and the non-refundable $10 processing fee. Cancellations within 21 days forfeit the deposit; amounts paid beyond the deposit will be refunded.
No refunds for weather, acts of nature, or events outside the City’s control. Refunds may be issued when a reservation is cancelled due to City‑directed closures or operational decisions. Early check‑outs are not refundable.
No-shows: Reservations not fully paid and unused within 48 hours of arrival may be marked as a no-show and released.
RV Park Rules
Visitors, Parking & Towing
Occupancy limits apply to visitors: Visitors count toward the maximum occupancy per site.
No visitor parking inside the RV Park: Only registered vehicles at assigned sites may park within the park.
No parking in empty sites / roadways / on grass: Unregistered vehicles parked anywhere other than the vehicle owner’s registered campsite may be towed at the owner’s expense. When an unregistered vehicle is identified, staff will make a minimal effort to locate the driver before arranging towing.
Pay parking: Visitor parking and vehicles that do not fit at a campsite may not park in the RV Park. Don Morse Park and Lakeshore Marina offer pay parking. Lakeshore RV parking passes are only valid within the RV Park.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Outdoor music, video, and loud conversations must end by 11:00 PM. Noise complaints may result in eviction.
Fires & Grilling
No wood campfires are allowed in any Chelan City park, including Lakeshore RV Park. Portable fire pits, barbecues, and camp stoves fueled by propane are allowed. All guests must comply with burn bans as in effect at the time of their stay. Chelan County Fire District 7 is the authoritative source for regulated burn bans in effect within the City of Chelan.
Pets
No dogs during peak season: Friday–Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend and July 1 through Labor Day Weekend. When pets are permitted, leash and scoop laws apply and pets must always be under your control. Dogs must never be left unattended at a site or in an RV. Service animals are permitted as required by law.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted as required by law. Animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times. Animals that are out of control, not housebroken, or that pose a direct threat may be required to be removed. In such cases, the individual will be offered the opportunity to receive services without the animal present.
Conduct, Weapons, and Courtesy
Behavior that is unsafe, creates a health or safety issue, or disturbs others may result in removal from the park. This includes (but is not limited to) domestic-violence-related incidents, excessive noise/profanity, or abusive language or conduct toward staff or other guests.
Weapons: Any perceived weapons policy violation or weapons-related safety concern will be reported to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Department for response and enforcement as appropriate.
Alcohol & Marijuana
Alcohol: Allowed within your designated campsite for guests 21 and older only.
Marijuana: It is unlawful to open any package containing marijuana or to use marijuana products in public view.
Personal Property & Grounds Maintenance
Personal property: The City of Chelan is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage during your stay. Please secure your belongings.
Ground care: Items that can burn grass must be removed from lawns (examples include but not limited to: tents, shelters with floors, coolers, inflatables, toys, mattresses, Kayaks, etcetera). Place these items on asphalt or lean them against a vehicle.
Watering & mowing: Do not interfere with sprinklers. Items left outside may need to be moved for watering/mowing. The City is not liable for property left outside.
Lines & nets: Keep trees, fences, and utility posts free of ropes, lines, hammocks, and pet leashes. Game nets must be taken down when not in use.
Mail & Packages
If you need mail or packages during your stay, please use General Delivery at the Chelan Post Office (ZIP 98816). We will not accept or handle patron mail due to custody, liability, and public‑records exposure risks.
E-bikes, Scooters & Micromobility Devices
To promote pedestrian safety and reduce conflicts on our narrow roads, all bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, and similar devices must follow these rules.
- Devices covered: Bicycles, electric-assisted bicycles (e-bikes), motorized foot scooters, and similar ride-on mobility devices.
- Where riding is allowed: Roadways only (paved park roads).
- Where riding is not allowed: Grass, landscaped areas, sidewalks, docks, ramps, piers, marina launch areas, and other non-roadway surfaces. Riding is not permitted on marina docks, ramps, piers, or launch facilities.
- Right-of-way: Pedestrians always have the right-of-way.
- Supervision: Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
- Helmets: All children under 12 must wear a properly fitted helmet when operating or riding as a passenger on any bicycle, e-bike, scooter, or similar device within Lakeshore RV Park.
- After dark: Riding is prohibited unless the device has a working white front headlight and a red rear taillight.
- E-bike classes: Washington law classifies e-bikes as Class 1 (pedal-assist to 20 mph), Class 2 (throttle-capable to 20 mph), and Class 3 (pedal-assist to 28 mph; speedometer required). Class 3 operators must be 16+.
- Labels & modifications: E-bikes must display the manufacturer’s class label. Modified or unverifiable devices (missing labels or altered to exceed class limits) are not permitted to be operated in the park.
- Not allowed: Electric or gas dirt bikes, mini-bikes/pocket bikes, go-karts, ATVs/ORVs, electric motorcycles, or similar high-powered devices—or any other vehicle that is not licensed for operation along the streets and highways of the State of Washington.
Eviction / Removal Procedure
RV Park Staff may require immediate eviction for severe conduct or conditions that threaten safety, property, or the quiet enjoyment of others. For minor issues when appropriate, staff may provide a verbal or written warning and a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue. If a guest refuses to comply, fails to correct the issue, or staff determine that assistance is needed for safety or enforcement, staff may contact the Chelan County Sheriff’s Department. Evicted guests must leave the park when directed and are not entitled to a refund.
Policy Enforcement
We want everyone to have a safe, enjoyable stay. Not following these policies may result in site restrictions, loss of park privileges, removal from the park, and/or no refund. Park staff may require guests to stop prohibited activities and correct violations immediately.
