Midway Campground Resort — Reviews

We absolutely love midway and the peacefulness it has to offer. They put on an amazing fireworks show for the forth. We love that it’s not too extremely crowded and the sites are not right on top of eachother.

We love this campground.

It’s just a great place to camp

Ease of reservation process, checking, and checkout. Our campsite was in the lake alloys to relax while watching the local wildlife. We have stayed at Midway in the past and will continue to stay there.

Friendly staff and good site. The restrooms are a little rundown and not very clean. Overall, a pleasant stay and probably stay here again.

People are nice easy in and out when just passing through

The layout was good with good amenities, but it was a little rundown. One washer out of two was out of order as well ad one of four dryers. There were some junked up permanent spots that detracted from the overall look. We were just staying one night and it worked well for that.

We always have the best time here. Always fun at the pool and everyone friendly. We always start our camping season in midway every year same week.

We had a great view of the lake, Scott was so helpful and friendly, I’m sorry I didn’t get the name of the other gentleman that helped with keeping the park clean, but hecand everyone else were great! Loved that we could swim and the grands had a lot to keep them entertained. The oldest loved being able to fish, the younger kids had a great time bouncing on the big pillow, playing in the park and swimming. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

This was our third time staying at this campground. We thought it was a little run down in the past. We went this time and the bathhouse had been remodeled (if that’s what you want to call it). It seems it wasn’t professionally done. It was nice having private showers/toilets…but it smelt terrible, flies were awful and it was so hot and muggy, you needed a shower after your shower. It seemed very trashy in places, especially down near the lake where the permanent residence are. There should be rules on how they should be able to have their area. The junk and smell was awful. The pool is in need of some repairs as well. And possibly cleaned better. It was kind of gross. On a big white sign it says things not allowed, alcohol being one of those things. There were so many people at the pool drinking alcohol openly. Then the music, three different people brought their speaker and had music playing, the pool itself could just play some family friendly music instead of others playing music not suitable for young kids. It also seemed like there were LOTS of outside people coming to swim. It was so crowded at the pool. I thought the pool was for campers only, but it didn’t appear that way. We were near the basketball court and lots of kids would come up and the language they would use (I know you can’t stop them from doing this, but most came up on golf carts, so I’d say they are residents there). And the area got trashed with bottles and papers. I do think this could be a great place. It truly needs updating. Really work on the appearance of things. And putt putt was $3 a person and some things appeared to have plugs, none were working and then several holes were exactly the same as others. It wasn’t all that fun. The best part for my kiddos is probably the jumping pad. I want to love this place. But it is hard to. I do hope they’ll care more and do updates and make the place more presentable. I will say, they had replaced some of the gravel on the sites we were on, so that was nice. But I don’t know about other places.

Beautiful spot on the lake what more could you ask for

We arrived quite late and had good help finding our campsite. The pool looked quite nice but didn’t use it. The bathrooms however are in need of serious update, repair and cleaning !

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Great accommodation. We will be back.

I’m not even stay hour, looking for for the cabin and they give one a really bad spot actually I don’t know which one was it, I arrive after hour and they left a map with out any instruction unbelievable I would like to received back my money.
