We do really like the campground for how nice it is set up and so close to town, BUT the geese are a definite problem! LOL. I wouldn't want to have my pets or children playing around the sites due to the goose poop. It was really, really bad.

We appreciate the location - lovely view of Moosehead Lake PLUS the ability to walk or bicycle to amenities. The campground is clean (other than goose droppings) and not noisy or rowdy. The bathroom is well maintained. The only complaint is how difficult the door to the women's bathroom was to pull open at times. Several youth and even adults assumed it was locked. A sign saying, "door sticks, pull hard." would've been helpful.

The campsite we were in, 107, was really hard to get in due to the 2 trees across the road. There are alot of nice sites, but not 107.

We stayed one night here on our way back home from the North Shore. Our site was a little uneven, but acceptable. We had FHU, with a little bit of gravel on our pad. We did some agate-hunting around town. A word to the wise: skip the “official” Soo Line Agate Pit (for which you have to pay a fee to go) - it’s not worth it. The campground was quiet at night. We would stay here again.
