Mystic Valley Campground — Reviews

When we checked in, the woman (very nice) informed us that a homeless woman and her five children were staying there. In addition, two homeless Vets. Our camp spot was right between them. The "view" was not Mystic by any means. One shower was completely cold, and the other was a filthy mess. The bathrooms were clean. Coming from MI to Maine, it would have been nice to know this in advance, or been offered to go to the back; where there were open spots. We left a day early & night early.

The campground is comfortable,and the staff was very nice. If your looking for a place out of the tourists rush of Acadia nation park this is a great option. It's a easy 1 hour drive.

Very nice campground, clean, comfortable site, very friendly and helpful staff! The only negative was the lack of a dump station which I needed at that stop!

Quiet

First of all, I was moved from my original spot that I paid a lock in fee to a spot that was partial hook up next to a camper that looked like it been there for sometime. Picnic table was broken and rotted. Campground was extremely small. The dump station seemed nonexistent. The lady at the counter didn’t say I was being downgraded to a partial hook up and didn’t offer to refund my lock in fee . We didn’t even stay the whole time spent one night. The pictures do not look anything like the place. Lots of cats running around the camp spots. Nice enough lady and I’m guessing husband… Sorry but definitely not a place for me.

The staff was professional and accommodating when we wanted to change sites. The staff was also very friendly.

What a great hidden gem! We wanted a place close to the Maine Ampitheater for a concert and this was a quick 20 minute drive. The campground is laid out nicely with tent and RV spaces. WiFi was consistent all weekend and the bakery is a nice touch!!! The bathrooms and showers are clean with residential features. Susan and Dale work hard to keep the place clean and welcoming. A children’s play area and family cookout site with extra amenities are a nice touch. For a quiet and inviting camping spot-this is perfect!

The campground is very nice. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We rented the trailer, IT DOES NOT HAVE A FIRE PIT, and it was not very clean. To whomever cleans the trailer, you need to remove the floor registers and vacuum out the filth that has accumulated. As mentioned there is no fire pit as advertised. The owner says this was the Fire Marshall's decision. Fine, then don't advertise it. Besides our experience with the trailer, the camp sites look pretty nice, and are clean. There is alot of highway noise at night from I 95.

We were very pleased with our stay at the campground. The owners are very nice and we would definitely stay again when in that area.

The sites were nice and large and the campground owner very nice and accommodating. The campground did feel a little run down with very few amenities. It was an easy drive into Bangor which is why we were there.

This campground is amazing and so peaceful nestled in the trees. The owners are awesome as well. My first time there last year and booked another stay and again this year. Likely be the only spot I camp at.

This is an independent campground. The owner was very kind. They have done many upgrades and continue to improve the campground. Support self employed ownership.
