This was only my 2nd time in my entire 64 years to go camping. I loved the view. We parked our RV right next to Lake Whitney, the sunset was gorgeous. I especially loved that we were in walking distance of Shooky's on the Lake, so I didn't have to prepare a meal!! We ate lunch shortly after our arrival & ate outside on a picnic table on the spacious deck, facing the lake. We went back that evening with family & friends for dinner & music by D-Rail Acoustic (Darrell Ray). As a bonus we also got to hear Travis McWilliams, both were fantastic. We will definitely go again!

Friendly staff, great views. I loved the flag in front of Shookys, although it was faded and tattered. Also noticed no light on it at dark. I loved the food and entertainment at shocks bar and grill. The live music was awesome. I will definitely be back as soon as I can.
