Rivers Bend Family Resort — Reviews

Cabin was not at all like it looked in the picture I thought we would be on the water turns out we were on a runoff which was so dirty you couldn't even get in it they had a festival and didn't tell anyone so my kids were smacked up in the middle of a weed fest which I have no problem with weed but it's not something that I would take my kids to also they had fluorescent lighting which was awful no fire pit nowhere to cook and no bathroom in the cabins I do have to say the people were polite and tried to help but we ended up leaving a night early and ended up wasting that money. The people were polite the accommodations were just really bad

Place was great for my kids to ride a bike and fish! Really wish the shower/bathroom was nicer! Not a big place, but was good for what we needed! The workers were super friendly!!

For us, this wasn't really a "camping" trip. We were in Joplin over the Fourth of July to visit family. We had short notice to find a campground. This was just a place to sleep. What we liked: 1. Shady 2. Pull-through site 3. Staff we encountered at check-in were friendly and helpful What we didn't like: 1. Sites were very narrow and very close, making it difficult to maneuver with or without the travel trailer 2. There were a number of permanent residents, not ideal in a "campground" 3. Bathroom/shower house could have been better maintained (urinal in men's was out of order and filled with cleaning supplies) Would stay here again if we couldn't find another campground but would not be a first choice.

Very impressed with our stay at Rivers bend. We had a large group and they worked with multiple reservations and kept us together as a group. Would definitely stay again!

We really appreciated the atmosphere, the river and the restaurant. The only week point was the bathrooms. They were to smelly and not clean at all.

Host/owner was awesome checking us in then literally taking us to our room, showing us around and inside the room. I can’t say enough about this little slice of heaven. Great place can’t wait to see you in the near future.

Access to the site was easy. The grounds were clean and services of all kinds were just an ask away. The grounds keepers were very attentive to the needs of each camper family and made regular rounds. The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing!!! Nice place.
