Rose Lake Park — Reviews

They just can’t seem to get reservations correct year after year. The staff has gotten better than in previous years, but still not great. Charged me for early checkin when I wanted to drop my trailer off 1 hr early on my 3 week reservation and the camper was going to sit empty using no resources for 2 of those weeks.

Great facility. Entire family had a blast. Great water access for kayaking. There’s a fantastic sandbar if you head south west and across the lake from the campground. Wife and daughter’s first tent camping trip and they are hooked.

Eliminated shower stalls in bathrooms, and they haven’t been updated in years. We had very unlevel sites. Updated pictures of sites would be helpful.

Worst camp ground we have stayed at. Super unorganized. When arrived little direction as to where our sites were, we booked two. Once we found the sites there was someone staying on our site. Management was unable to contact the people for several hours. We weren’t able to set up until after 7pm. And was told there wasn’t much they could do about anything. The sites are not clearly marked as to where you should be and are extremely crammed together. The first night they yelled at our kids for playing after dark on OUR sites. They were not loud or causing any issues. The rest of the week we dealt with constant barking dogs, a bunch of teenagers throwing up for hours, an aunt and mom screaming at their children. Day and night. Nothing was ever said to them. We had 5 families on 4 campsites. 20 people. Spent about $1000 on sites, and not to mention what we spent in the store on ice cream, wood and ice. Two of our sites were still dirty when arrived, underwear, bubble containers and the fire pit was full. Would not recommend and will not be back. The beach was very nice but very crowded.

The park was so nice. We had such fun. The bathroom was clean and the store impressive!! Loved the ice cream.

This was a great site except the water hookup was on A2 and couldn’t reach my camper for hookup which was disappointing

We have camped at Rose Lake for many years. Overall we enjoy our time- it's a great place for the kids to bike and the fishing is good. However, this memorial day weekend was not enjoyable- people kept walking through our campsite, people were drunk and there was a scary domestic fight right behind us. Then, one person in the booth at the entrance was rude and they changed the water in the showers so that it shuts off every 60 seconds! How ridiculous!

Friendly staff and nice neighbors. J always appreciate the fish cleaning station. They're was new staff in the store than previously and not as many options for food there as before (hot lunch dishes). Weather didn't cooperate but still had a nice stay. Will be looking into seasonal site drawing for next year.
