Park Policies & Rules

We offer a family camping environment. A maximum of 4 adults and their children per site is allowed. For a complete list of camping fees please visit our Family Camping page.

Reservations

  • Online reservations can be made for the season starting February 1 on campspot.com, Only 2 sites can be booked at any given time. If more than 2 site bookings are found to occur, the fees will be forfeited, for the extra sites.

  • Reservations made by phone or in -person can commence May 1.,between the hours of 9am and 5pm from Friday-Tuesday

  • Holiday weekends require a minimum 3 nights stay and cannot be canceled or modified or given camping credit.

Payment

  • Full payment of camping fees is required at time of booking

  • Accepted methods of payment: Credit card and Debit card. E-transfer and cash can also be used, for in person bookings only.

Cancellations & Modifications

  • Cancellations can be completed by the original permit holder by phone up to 14 days before the originally scheduled arrival date with the exception of holiday weekends

  • Reservations cannot be canceled within 14 days of the originally-scheduled arrival date

  • Changes to the reservation can be made by the original permit holder up to 14 days prior to the originally scheduled arrival date (administration fees may be applied),any camping credit must be redeemed in the current year.

Refunds

  • Reservations canceled up to 14 days before the originally-scheduled arrival date will be fully refunded less the reservation fee to the credit card that was used for the reservation (Holiday weekends are non-refundable)

  • Refunds will NOT be given for any of the following reasons including weather (rain, wind, snow, temperature), water quality (beach closures, non-potable water), air quality, wildlife, insects/pest, fire bans, liquor bans, leaving early or where notice is not provided, evictions.

Park Policy

For everyone’s enjoyment, the park policy must be observed. Failure to comply may result in eviction without refund.

  • Family camping only.

  • This park is a children’s playground, the use of profane language is strictly prohibited. The use of such towards other guests or staff shall result in eviction from park.

  • Speed must not exceed 10km per hour. Watch for children at play. Anyone receiving multiple warnings will be evicted from park.

  • It is illegal to consume alcoholic beverages in this park except registered campers on campsites and then in moderation only. Anyone found impaired or not obeying the park’s policy will be evicted from park.

  • Cartons and bottles must be kept in dwelling.

  • All campers must have a tent or trailer.

  • No glass bottles to be taken to beach or on hill. Anyone found taking glass bottles to the beach or on the hill will be evicted from park.

  • Campfires must be extinguished with water. Do not cover with sand.

  • No motorcycles allowed.

  • All pets must be kept on a short leash (2m or less) at all times and under the control of someone who can keep the animal under control at all times. Owners must clean up after their pets. Pets cannot be left outside unattended. Assumption of Risk and Release. I understand that my permission to have my dog at Sand Hill Park with me is a privilege and not a contractual right. Such permission is expressly conditional upon my adherence to the terms of these rules and any other rules in effect at any given time. I understand that the Park may revoke such permission at any time, for any reason. Additionally, I assume all responsibility of risks, injury, damage and any other harm that may occur while my dog is at Sand Hill Park or caused by my dog. Further, I hereby knowingly and voluntarily expressly release and discharge Sand Hill Park Farm Inc., its owners, its agents, members, managers, directors, officers and employees ( Released Parties) from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, injuries, demands, or causes of action, both present and future, whether known, unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, that me or my guests or invitees may have against any of the Released Parties arising out of or incidental to my dog’s presence in the Park, whether arising from any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise, of me, my dog and/ or any guest or invitee. I further agree to indemnify each of the Released Parties for any and all such claims, damages, liabilities, injuries, demands, or causes of action, including costs, expenses, and attorney’s fees arising as a result of or related to the presence of the dog at Sand Hill Park. This provision shall be enforceable to the fullest extent of the law. Acknowledgment. By signing below , I acknowledge that I have read the foregoing Assumption of Risk and Release and fully understand its provisions and implications. My execution of this release is entirely voluntary and intended to be binding on me, my heirs. Executors, legal representatives and assigns.

  • Everyone must be in their own campsite by 11pm. No loud parties, no playing of games or any other activity that may create noise to disturb neighbouring campers after that hour, will be tolerated.

  • No vehicles admitted after 10pm. All registered campers not in by 10pm. must leave car at entrance and walk into their campsite. Gate opens at 9am.

  • All visitors must leave campgrounds by 11pm.

  • All visitors staying overnight must register and pay camping fee.

  • Anyone cutting of trees or destroying property in any way will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

  • No loud sound systems on cars or radios. Radios must be kept at a low volume during the day and turned off by 11pm.

Sand Hill and Beach Rules

  • No lifeguards on duty. Security Staff present must be adhered to or eviction from the Park will ensue.

  • No alcohol allowed.

  • No glass containers allowed on hill or on the beach. Anyone found with such or alcohol will be promptly evicted without refund.

  • Water Conditions – use as a guideline only.

    • Calm water – no waves – no undertow

    • Rough water – waves breaking, white water present on first sandbar – possible undertow – swim with caution

    • Turbulent water – waves break, white water present on first two sandbars and beyond – undertow present – no swimming allowed.

  • NEVER SWIM ALONE.

  • No one is ever allowed to go out over their head. Anyone not following this policy , will be evicted from the park.

  • No tubes, rafts or any flotation devices allowed when water is rough or turbulent.

  • Stay away from and off of the rocks. Be aware that some currents create holes around the base of the rocks.

  • No children (under 12 years) allowed unattended over hill or on beach area. If found there, the family will be immediately evicted.

  • ABSOLUTELY KEEP OFF THE CLIFFS. Stay on sand hill area and on beach. No one is allowed on the cliff and bank of the Dog Beach Area.

  • Digging holes or crawling in caves, or crawling on or over the East Rock Boundary will result in IMMEDIATE EVICTION.

  • All pets must be kept on a short leash (2m or less) at all times unless on Dog Beach area. Owners must clean up after them.

  • Please refer all questions to park management.

I have read these Policies and Rules and understand it is my responsibility to abide by them. I further understand it is my responsibility to ensure that my guests and invitees also comply with them. Failure to adhere to the Policies and Rules set forth herein may result in my removal from Sand Hill Park without a refund.
