very noisy trains during the night close to the campground

Friendly staff and neighbors. Activities but not overbearing. Good location near stores and restaurants but still in the country. Train nearby but got used to the whistles quickly.

It is priced well, but you do have to listen to multiple trains at night. Staff is friendly and they do get back to you if you have to leave a message.

Train tracks fifty yards behind site cross road right there,blows whistle every time all night and early morning.not peaceful but stressful will not return

Although we had issues with the Internet connection. We enjoyed great neighbors. We could get used to this! Thank you Mary and Martha for being so upbeat and helpful.

The internet was terrible. I was on space 8 and couldn’t get any wi-fi. I went to the office and they said that they call spectrum but nothing was done.we were there 9 days without internet.

trains were loud, and there was a smell throughout the camp ground when it was windy.

Sandbar RV resort is more of a trailer park made out of fixed old campers with attachments improved to cheap permanent homes with open spots between them which then get filled with campers. I am 64 and I believe I was one of the youngest guests there. This place is cheap because it is right beside a busy road and a v3ry busy train track where between 4 - 15 trains go by every day blasting their horns extensively. If you have 6-8 trains blasting at you every night, you will be more than happy to leave this place in the morning. We got located right behind the septic refreshments basins and the stink was abnormal at times. Would I go ever back there. No way even if they would try to pay me for that. There is a reason why they have a NO Money back policy.

It’s a lovely campground. The neighbors were very sweet and helpful. We had a great stay and looking forward to coming back in a few weeks. Please note: it’s close to railroad tracks so if trains going by frequently bothers you, ask for a site further away from the tracks. We love trains and I found our spot quite charming.

My wife and I have stayed at several Cobblestone properties over the last several years. Sandbar must be a new property for the company. They have to add many itemes to the campground. There us no pool currently on the property. On the way in there is a big sign that there is a pool planned for the property. The only real complant that I really have is how close it is to the train tracks. If you are a light sleeper. There are two sets of tracks in front of the property. Trains run all day and night. Its not all day, but at night. Your likely to lose sleep.. it didn't bother me. Years ago, I slept thru a earthquake. You should consider another one of Cobblestone Properties in the area. We really enjoyed our stay at Sandbar and we will return.
