Starved Rock Family Campground — Reviews

Very convenient to the highway and easy, level sites. Only stayed one night so didn't take advantage of amenities, but it's a definite stop on our way back to New England.

The campground was great. We enjoyed ourselves so much we booked another stay before we left.

Second time staying here and another great experience. Our 2 small kids loved the pool, sand box, and playground. Everyone was friendly and staff was professional and helpful.

There’s some construction going on to install solar panels. They allow golf carts and there were kids racing around on them. It just made it dusty.

Very poor internet, WiFi and TV access - need to significantly improve in these areas, particularly when events such as the Olympics are taking place, much of which was just not available for us to see. Will most likely not return or recommend this campground in the future.

Great staff, very clean campground. Didn't use the pool but it looked nice. Quiet hours were honored by all the guests around us. This was our first camping trip together and my first in 35 plus years. We enjoyed it enough that we made another reservation. 10 to 15 minute drive to Starved Rock and Mattheson State Parks.

Clean and well organized .. friendly staff

We were only there overnight. Late check in and early check out. Nice and clean. Wish there were more centrally located bathrooms and showers instead of a portapotty. The main office bathrooms were really clean but far.
