Sun Outdoors Wells Beach — Reviews

I was surprised at the site availability remaining especially with the 4th of July. The rates are expensive but the location drives that. Overall we were happy and will go back again.

It’s clean, it’s friendly, and it’s relatively quiet. The facilities I did not use, including the pool and the showers, etc… I will tell you, the spots for your rig are EXTREMELY small. By the time you park, and we have a 36’ diesel pusher, you have barely enough room for your pull along. The campfire site was in the strangest place and the picnic table was unable to be used. We couldn’t even open our awning. The trees were too close. Otherwise the vicinity to Olgunquit could not be better and we used our electric bikes to get around, no problem. We would go back but would have to request something wider.

Nice campground. Good location. Very clean. Rather unreasonable with regard to parking. I paid extra to have my wife’s car there, which was fine, but then my son wanted to come visit for a few hours for dinner. I notified the office and they said only one extra vehicle was allowed and recommended that he park at the supermarket a quarter mile away, even though the campground was only half full, and there was plenty of space available in the overflow lot and the attached mini golf lot. I had to pick him up and drop him off afterwards. This just seemed unnecessary to me

The campground is immaculate. We were the only tent there. Only a couple of the RV’s had people there. Water and electricity on or near our site. Bathrooms close. Didn’t use the resort features.

Place was clean and well run

Nice campground, well maintained. Centrally located. Only comment is our site was sandy-dirt which required extra effort to keep it out of unit. I would stay again, maybe different spot.

The people that work there are awesome! I called because I was stuck in traffic and arriving late. They looked everything up that I had sent in earlier, made sure my welcome info was ready and waiting at the outdoor check in. The gentleman at check in was fantastic also. So accommodating every time I stay. This is the second time this year and it’s been great.

Checking in at Sun outdoors wells Maine they were rude and very strickt. The site we selected was not the one we got for wn additional fee it may have happened. We were put by the road or front of camp ground. The camp ground is extremly tight other campers had to move vehicles to fit the camper in spot. Also the camp site is tiny right on top of next site no privacy. Mc Donalds parking lot was on other side of fence with constant vehicles running all day and night loud no piece. The ONLY comvienience is beach is 1 mile away.. Only one vehicle allowed parked on camp site &10 charge per vehicle additional to park in guest area. This was a go once to a sun outdoors campground and never again. There are many more camp grounds in area to choose from

Very impressed! Very clean ameneties, quiet co-campers. Perfect with kids :)

It was very nice. Just wish we had alittle bigger site. And don't like that we can't pick our site ahead of time.

Campsites are on the small side. Large boulders delineate the sites making it difficult to move larger campers through the site. No room for the tow vehicle to park.

It was just OK, nothing spectacular. The pine tree sat was horrendous.

Bathrooms didn’t feel like they were terribly well kept. The floors in the entire bathroom including toilet area were wet. Camp sites are pretty close together, but overall the campground was quiet.

It was a nice location and the first night was great as security was making certain that rules were followed. After the first night there was no security and there was a group that was gong around being disruptive. Also there were no activities which was disappointing.

Lots of mosquitos, sardines have more space in a can than these RV spots. And like all Sun Outdoors campsites they have many hidden fees. I generally stay away from campgrounds with underhanded practices like Sun, but I needed the location for a night.
