Timberland Acres RV Park — Reviews

This park is really big and the sites are level. They have a restaurant/tavern on site which makes it convenient. They have a lot a community activities in the pavilion, which is a lot of fun. The laundry facilities fall short. There are plenty of machines, but they are set to water-saver levels, so you really only can wash half a load at one time, yet they charge a full-load price. I commend them on the amount of washers and dryers, but 1/2 load concept doesn’t impress me. There is only one laundry facility, so if you setup towards the back, then you have to carry your laundry a fairly long walk, or drive to the location. They do have bathhouses which could use a face lift. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the park store is limited. They do offer campfire wood, ice, and golf carts rentals which is very convenient. I do recommend this park if you don’t need the transportation to Acadia National Park as the Island Transporter does not stop at this park.

Campground was clean, and staff were super nice!

The family atmosphere is great, the kiddo always has a great time. Clean, well kept spot that I will keep coming back too!

Everything was as stated and working

The office staff was very nice and were eager to help us when we wanted to stay a few more days.

Lots of activities and a large dog park, shady lots however ours was not very level I would go back again. Also I neglected to put in for my Good Sam discount but once I arrived they did credit it back to me.

A lovely kind community. Front desk workers were welcoming and helpful at all times. Made my first Maine camping experience wonderful.

The park offered a lot of amenities. Including a dog park which when traveling with dogs is a God sent. However, you have to go to the end of the campground and around to access it. There should be another way to access it on the upper end, which is where is it located. The only reason I am docking a star is the size of the the sites. It accommodated us well, however, not any extra room in the back in sites for much more than your camper and a small fire. We didn't need a lot as we were visiting the Acadia National Forest. Also there is a free shuttle from the Gateway Visitor Center which less than three miles from the campground.

Great campground for us to see so much in Maine.

Very well run. Bathrooms clean. Laundry machines work great. They even collect your garbage if you put it out by your site in the morning. Very quiet.

Great stay! Bathrooms and laundry room were good in size, clean and well stocked. Nice proximity to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

We had a great stay staff very friendly went to the restaurant. Food was good prices were reasonable. Would definitely camp there again.

We loved the cabin, great size and most of all the barbecue and outside spot right next to it. The camping is calm even though there is lots of people. Nice and friendly staff at the office and on the camping.

nice and woodsy, restrooms clean, site was enjoyable, well maintained. people in office - helpful, pleasant,polite - good folks. The constrution crew was more than helpful (got some short cutoffs from the deckwork fellow - even cut 45 degree ends for blocks needed to level our rental trailer). just about everything we're used to and expected in our 45 years of camping and rv travel accomodations
