Front desk staff Marissa was great. Bathrooms need updating/renovating. Sites 62 -64 not level at all and make it difficult.

Nice location. Short walk to the beach. Campsites are small for our 30 ft 5th wheel but we made it work. Quiet . Bathrooms were clean.

Cute campground. My site was a little tricky for a pop up camper but I worked it out! I like the access to Weko beach and the proximity to Indiana Dunes.

I would not stay here again. I loved the beach and the walking path for the dogs but the campground was kind of junky looking. Maybe the other campground is nicer?

This was our first visit to Lake Michigan. We were truly impressed by the surroundings. Our campsite was conveniently located next to the stairs leading to the beach and overlooks. The site itself was not the best choice for an RV as it was not level and fairly small, making it difficult to level our RV. The site would be more suitable for tent camping. Overall we did enjoy our stay!

I really in principle love Weko Beach and have had many wonderful times there. However, this year it looked like management is going for the “party camp” vibe, supporting a loud concert Sunday evening, looking the other way when quiet hours, intoxicating substance, and overcrowding rules were violated. I hope this is a one off.

Weko Beach Campground is very quiet and peaceful, perfect if you want silence. There’s no phone signal, which doesn’t bother me, but it’s something people should know. The campground hasn’t had any updates in years — it looks exactly the same and really needs improvements. The only truly nice thing is that it’s close to the beach, and that part is beautiful. But if you enjoy having a glass of wine while watching the sunset, forget it. The rules are extremely strict, and you can end up with a DUI for something that simple. Instead of relaxing, you end up stressed. Overall: great silence and beach access, but too many rules and zero upgrades.
