TILLAMOOK COUNTY PARKS RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.    OPEN FIRES: Fires permitted only in County permitted camp stoves and fire rings provided by the County and only when a burn ban is not in effect. 3.1 
2.    FIREARMS: Brandish or discharge of firearms, pellet guns, BB guns, air guns, bow & arrows, cross bows or archery equipment is prohibited. 3.2 
3.    DISTURBANCE OF FLORA: No collecting, cutting, picking, disturbing, removing, breaking or disturbing any plant, flower, shrub, grass, moss or trees. 3.3 
4.    FIREWOOD: No removal of any log or driftwood larger than 12” in diameter. You may only collect enough for personal use while camping. 3.4 CHAIN SAWS PROHIBITED 
5.    VANDALISM: Section 3.5 * 
6.    BLASTING: Section 3.6 * 
7.    FIREWORKS: All fireworks prohibited in parks. 3.7

11.    OPERATING A BUSINESS: No person shall operate any business within in a county park or use any portion of a county park for business purposes. 3.11 
12.    VEHICLES: Vehicles prohibited in any area other than main access roadways and campsites. Oregon Vehicle Code applies in parks. Vehicles parked in designated parking shall obey all parking regulations. 3.12 
13.    BICYCLES, ROLLER SKATES, SKATEBOARDS AND ROLLER BLADES: Section 3.13 * 
14.    OFF-ROAD VEHICLES, MOTORIZED TRAIL BIKES, MOTORIZED TWO WHEEL SCOOTERS, THREE-WHEELERS AND QUADS PROHIBITED. Section 3.14 *
15.    SPEED LIMIT: 15 M.P.H. where not otherwise posted on in excess of posted maximum. 3.15 
16.    METAL DETECTING: Section 3.16 * 
17.    ANIMALS: Must be in a vehicle or on a leash not exceeding 6 feet and kept under physical control at all times. No animal is to be left unattended in a county park. 3.17 
18.    ANIMALS PROHIBITED: No animals other than seeing-eye dogs or hearing-ear dogs shall be allowed in any building or structure. 3.18 
19.    ANIMAL WASTE REMOVAL: The owner or person having control of an animal which defecates in a county park shall immediately pick up and dispose of such feces. 3.19

22.    PERSONAL MUSIC SYSTEM: Section 3.22 * 
23.    SOUND SYSTEM AMPLIFICATION: Section 3.23 *
24.    SMOKING: Prohibited in enclosed common use public places (Restrooms, Showers, Service Lines, Cabins and Tee-pees) 3.24

28.    UNDESIGNATED CAMPING AREAS: Section 3.33 *

31.    FISH CLEANING: No person shall clean fish within county parks, except within the confines of designated fish cleaning facilities. 3.36 
32.    SOLID WASTE: No home garbage. Park users dispose of waste in designated park containers. IF NOT PROVIDED PACK IT OUT. 3.37

34.    ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: Section 3.39 * 
35.    INTERFERENCE WITH PARK EMPLOYEES: No person shall obstruct, harass or interfere with the official duties of County Park employees. 3.41 
36.    PENALTIES: 1-36, Maximum $720 in fines. 
37.    ENFORCEMENT: Violators of any park ordinance is subject to citation and expulsion from parks when deemed necessary. 4.1 

 

TILLAMOOK COUNTY PARKS POLICIES AND DEFINITIONS

DEFINTIONS 
The term “Hiker Biker” is defined as people-powered travel. 

The term “RV” is defined as a Motor Home, Motor Coach, and Travel Trailer, Truck Camper or other self-contained vehicle used for camping. 

The term “Tent” is defined as any structure, excluding tent trailer, having non-rigid, non see-through collapsible sides. 

The term “Vehicle” is defined as any axle device (excluding an RV) which is legally permitted on Oregon’s Highways whether towed or driven.  Examples: boat trailers, cooking trailers, cars and pickups are considered vehicles. 

RESERVATION POLICY 
100% of all campsites are reservable. 

RESERVATION PERIODS 
Reservations are available year-round at Barview Jetty County Campground, Trask River County Campground and Webb County Campground and only during the Summer at Kilchis River County Campground, Whalen Island County Campground and Woods County Campground. Reservations may be made six (6) months in advance. 

RESERVATION - TRANSACTION FEE POLICY 
A non-refundable Transaction fee of Eleven ($11) Dollars, plus the base rate for the first night will be charged for providing a campsite reservation.
