It was an easy check in. The site was calm and quiet, plus the view of the lake was awesome. If you have kayaks or smaller boats, there’s a boat dock to go onto the lake. No swimming due to blue/green algae, but that typical for most lakes here in AB. Everyone seems respectful about their garbage, it was a pretty clean site.

Old run down campground. Vault toilets were really Stinky. Ground squirrel holes All over. And the host needed some customer service training. Other than that it was fine.

We came to stay for 6 nights in one of the tenting sites by the water. The site was a very comfortable size for our family of six with a large tent and plenty of space around the fire pit. The managers of the campground were wonderful from start to finish. They were regularly circulating the grounds to make sure everything was operating as it should. We chose this campground for proximity to Calgary to visit friends and take in the Stampede. Very convenient location with Strathmore being just a short 12 minutes drive for anything you may not have brought with you.

Given this campsite was under newer management, the hosts were REALLY friendly, eager to please and helpful. I can't wait to see what they do with all the fixes and upgrades. We had a great time even though the weather wasn't on our side.

Mother nature seemed to be in charge. High winds, some rain, beyond control I'm afraid. The on-site management was wonderful, no complains there.

This is a great campground. The grounds are kept clean, bathrooms spotless, showers spotless, camp hosts very friendly and very helpful and the location is great. Nice and quiet and a lovely sound of coyotes to help you sleep. We had a great time and definitely recommend.
