Whispering Spruce Campground — Reviews

We arrved very late because of driving all day and exhausted. There was no indication of where our campsite was or hoiw to find it. Normally, when we arrive late there an envelope with our name indicating our site number and a map on how to get there, Yes, they had sent an email, but because we were from out of the country, I can only get them when we has wifi The wifi password was also in the email that we could not get into to. How hard is it to write a name, site number, wifi password and directions to the side on an index card?? Golden is an ugly town too and the only place where we were devoured by misquitos.

Very friendly manager but campsite was pretty poor. Wash facilities and area around them really tired but maintained as clean as they could be. Didnt realise our spot was going to be yards from highway with constant noise from trucks but it was the overflow area at a really busy time so would suggest booking a spot further away from highway if staying there.

Site was ok but while emptying my tanks the dump station tanks overflowed and what a mess it was. No hose at dump station to wash out drain hose.

Friendly, helpful park attendant. Sites were wide for tent camping with water at each site. 2 New toilets close to tent camping. 24 hr laundry facilities. Dish washing sinks at showers. Clean park.

The staff was helpful and readily friendly as long as you respect the rules they set out. Washrooms/showers were dated but clean and worked. I can’t rate this over 3.5 stars due to two things, the semi traffic noise literally beside this easy to find camp site. It works as a functioning good camp site with the mountain backdrop if your site has it as a bonus

Brilliant campsite. After 3 days off grid super happy to have hot showers and WiFi to re-set. Beautiful location. We ate at Alfonso’s next door which was nice meal too. Laundry facility on site. The team were very welcoming and helpful. Whilst it may not be a very fancy campsite, it had everything required plus more, was clean plus had lots of friendly guests staying who we spent the evening chatting to. Highly recommended if welcoming, plenty of facilities and friendly is what you’re after. PS - the services / sani dump at each pitch which was great too - thanks team we had a great stay

Lovely campground, convenient to Yoho and Banff National Parks. Clean bathrooms and showers. Nice privacy with plenty of trees and views of the mountains.

This campground is one of the best I have been. The place is very well organized. It is very clean everywhere. Whashrooms and shawers always available and very clean. The little store has all the necessities and prices are cheaper than outside ones. Security is very well, coverage of wi-fi always strong. The admosphere is so great in this place, campers and one person who makes this place unique is Rosi from the office, always very helpfull to make your stay enjoyble Thank you to all the staff in charge of this awesome place

Huge dog park and sites with plenty of trees. Very well maintained. Wish we could have stayed longer!

It sucked..: the laundry was nice and the city great. But the site is right next to highway 1 and we did not sleep well to say the least….

The visiting campers quieted down at a reasonable hour . Bathrooms and shower any were very clean

Beautiful view from our campground. Clean bathrooms. We didn’t spend much time in the campground so we can’t speak much about any of the amenities. We were all happy with the hot showers and clean bathrooms. The campground was very conveniently located.
