The small animal area was absolutely amazing. We saw 2 moose within minutes of the property. One on our evening walk. Everything worked perfect. We had no issues and so far it's the best RV Park we've visited!

Love Winding River. We stay here a couple times a year usually when we want to het away from the concrete pads. Enjoy the water, grass and trees.

Winding River Resort was the perfect spot to stay. It is so close to the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park and to the town of Grand Lake. We had the pleasure of having a moose cow and her two calves walk through the small patch of woods behind our camper. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. They provided us with a hiking map of local trails and gave recommendations based on our ability level.

No notifications on the fire ban prior to tent camping there. Not really dog friendly. I couldn't even use the restroom with my pup. Very noisy location selected by the staff between a busy double drive, RVs and all the action. No shade and a small space. Not at all ideal for tent camping.

We loved our experience! They had so many fun things for our kids and a lot of family activities! We tent camped and the campsites are spread out and have great shade to provide privacy too. The staff was super friendly and very helpful! Bathrooms and showers were also very nice and cleaned often.

Beautiful campground! The staff were very friendly and made you feel like you were at home. The facilities were very nice. They offer fun activities. We did the atv rental (which was a blast) and the horseback riding. Views for days! We will definitely come back!
