    Our 30/50 amp RV sites are located in the lower section of the campground, closest to the little river. These sites offer 50/30 amp electrical hookups, a water hookup, picnic tables, fire rings, and access to campground facilities such as showers and restrooms. Please note there is no sewer hookup on this site. Zooland Family Campground is a family-friendly camping destination, which offers a variety of amenities and activities for visitors of all ages. One of the main attractions of Zooland Family Campground is its proximity to the North Carolina Zoo, which is just a short drive away. Visitors can also enjoy hiking, fishing, and boating in the nearby Uwharrie National Forest. Other amenities at Zooland Family Campground include a swimming pool, playground, jumping pillow, inflatable axe throwing, basketball court, and horseshoe pits and more. The campground also has a camp store that sells basic camping supplies, snacks, and more. Please Note: These sites DO NOT have WATER November 9 - March 9th and the Closest Bathhouse is closed. There is another Bathhouse within the campground that will be OPEN during this time. Also Note: This is a grass site. If we get a lot of rain, the site can be VERY WET. We offer the opportunity to guarantee your favorite campsite or cabin by paying our applicable locking fee. If you opt out of the option to lock, you are guaranteed your campsite or cabin type, but NOT the specific site/unit number.

    Love the work that is being done to the campground. Glad volunteers stepped up to work the slide. Very much appreciated. Internet was insufficient and could use an upgrade especially for working families.

    We had a great time at this camp! Check in was super smooth and the service was great! My kids loved all the activities and pedal cars, and even when the movie had technical difficulties, the staff worked quickly to resolve it! Our site was clean and level and easy to navigate. We just got home today and already booked 2 more stays! Some constructive feedback would be not having the designated smoking area so close to the playground and other activities, and the food truck generator running all day made it difficult to sit in the fire pit area and relax.

    Great store, friendly staff, wonderful amenities! The only negatives were the sites were a bit tight in our section, cell phone service was almost non-existent, and WiFi was unstable even with a supplementary satellite plan. Perfect campground for disconnecting but problematic if working remotely and stable phone and WiFi are needed. FYI: we were a group of 3 campers all with different phone and WiFi provider services. Only one was able to get enough service to connect to WiFi but was dropped frequently. We thought perhaps the connection issues was due to the high demand of a holiday weekend but the issues persisted after the park cleared out.
