Alpen Rose RV Park — Reviews

Fantastic park in a quiet setting with spectacular mountain views. We could see the steam train go by every day across the highway. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Park has a spacious pet play area, small pool and laundry facilities. It was a great home base, close to fun activities in Durango and the surrounding area. Will definitely be back!

Great facility, fantastic staff

This was the nicest RV park we have ever stayed in.

Clean, spacious shaded sites, everyone was super friendly. Scenic location just outside Durango.

Accommodations were great! There were many events going on and lots to do, or just relax! We chose the later and really enjoyed our time.

We love this place!..friendly workers, dog p ark, Cafe, and more. 2nd year here an d will be back next year

All the trees were unique and the site was perfect. Services were great and property was so clean! We will recommend to anyone that comes to Colorado. Thank you for one of our best stays!

Location, tidiness, services and, all around a fabulous stay. A very grateful “thank you” to Lindsay, her pet sitting service, was invaluable and exceeded our expectations. We will certainly be returning - a very lovely property!

The grounds and facilities were well maintained and clean; the staff were all friendly & helpful; Very family friendly with a pool, fishing, and dog park; Have a kitchen that offers breakfast and pizza/wings for dinner if you don’t feel like cooking. Would definitely come again!

Alpen Rose rv campground is well organized and contains some great amenities. They have attendants that escort you to your site upon arrival. They had propain fill on-site. The on-site offleash dog park was extremely helpful. The pool opened when we were there as well, and there is a swingset to entertain the kids. Additionally the there were good shade trees in the smaller rv sites. This is a great rv park and my family enjoyed themselves here. It would be nice if there was a little more playground equipment maybe a slide, jungle gym, sandpit. Just some ideas. Also the fish pond might need some mesh fencing in addition to split rail that's in place currently. My boys are attracted to water, and they are my responsibility to control. But they easily went through the fence and the big dad couldn't get through to grab them without some effort jumping the fence if they didn't listen. So it may be worth reinforcing that fence a bit to prevent smaller humans from sneaking through unattended. But it's a beautiful fishing pond. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the professionalism of the staff. The attendants were knowledgeable, attentive to safety, and very helpful. Thanks guys!

Great location, great people there. Just a really nice campground, convenient to Durango Colorado and Mesa Verde national park. Everything that you need is right there.

We enjoyed our stay at Alpenrose RV Park. The grounds were very well kept. The RV spot was easy to access as a pull through. They have an array of essentials in the little office store. The staff was very friendly. Propane filled on site. Nice having laundry facility on-site. It is a few miles out of town but not too far. I would recommend this RV park.

This RV park is fantastic. Friendly, organized, clean, quiet, relaxing, beautiful views. I really can't imagine a better experience. I highly recommend it, and will stay there again next time I am in Durango.

This is such a sweet little place! The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the view is fantastic, and the care takers are so friendly and helpful. The dog park was a highlight of the trip for our pooch!

It was quiet and comfortable for our one night stay. They had hidden easter eggs for Easter morning which absolutely made our son’s day!

While we were only there for an overnight stay, they were very helpful getting us situated. And for those of you who travel with your furry companions, you'll love the 2 acre, leash free dog area. Our young golden had been cooped up inside our RV on some long drives and really appreciated the ability to run free! Would definitely return if we pass through again.
