Very clean and if you get a site by the water it’s amazing. Either way located right by a dog beach

Amazing views of Lake Michigan!

We had a wonderful stay here at camp Buttersville. This was our second time here. We will be back next year.

Love this campground

I loved it. Very beautiful and quiet. Definitely a hidden gem. I saw five deer in front of my campsite the next morning. There's a path to the beach you can walk your dogs. Five stars.

Beautiful views, quiet campground and very friendly people. Bathrooms were very modern. I would definitely come here again.

nice place, some minor issues

The area is a little noisy, especially in the evenings. Our camping spot was beautiful and the views in the area were incredible. Nice firewood available to purchase on site and at a reasonable price.

All structure is great, in the nature and scenic are unbelievable

The views were amazing. The sites were rather decent size depending on location. Reserved Site #7 and #22 and unfortunately experienced heavy rain and did not drain as fast as it should. Had to relocate tent on #7. We had a pond form as well in front of site with water spigot. If you are tent camping just beware! I had numerous individuals say that it sucked to be me and that's why the site was available and everyone knows not to reserve if rain in forecast. This was my first time here with my family and we had no idea. Also the bathrooms. I am severely allergic to mold and that's all you smell is mold and mildew in the bath house. Two flushing toilets and one vault for the women's restroom. Vault doesn't have privacy if campsite is reserved right next to it and the doors do not shut and lock. Rain was unpredictable and an adjustment but the restrooms and the shower house was disappointing. Also the firewood bought from the store strangely resembled old pallets or the shower house ceiling and didn't burn very well. Offers friendly staff which was wonderful, a nice clean beach and spectacular view of lake Michigan sunrise and sunset and the starry night sky.

Location was fantastic. Wish we had more days to explore Ludington, as it has so much to offer. Beaching dinning, boating and just enjoying the sights of the waterfront. Will be back for sure. A good respectful group of people too.
