Buttersville Campground — Reviews

We were able to fish, walk down to the beach, kids liked riding bikes and we all enjoyed being here.

We loved our stay at Buttersville. The beach was beautiful and clean. Downtown Ludington was just a short drive away. We will be back.

It was a pure magical experience and a wonderful campground. Beautiful beach and facilities.

We always have a great experience when we camp here!! The weather was perfect for the beach. All the staff are friendly as well.

Many reasons! 1.5 hours from home... Beautiful campgrounds... right on Lake Michigan... the beach! Our site (#23) was very large and quiet for our Class B camper. Close to Ludington for shopping and dining! The only thing that Buttersville needs is a Bath House remodel. Very old, damp... just needs an upgrade from 1950! We will definitely be back many times!

No hose at the dump station. Had to pay an additional $20 to dump elsewhere when it should have been free at the campground.

LOVE Buttersville! Everything about it

We’ve visited every year in the last 4 years. Im not sure if it was the time we went this year 4th of July weekend. The bathrooms were gross all the time, the womens outhouse light didnt work. The showers had literally poop on the walls and also always dirty. The shower water had not other setting then warm and barely any pressure. So your just sweating in there since theres no vents and the lighting in there is also terrible. The campsite to the right of us and across from us were fighting, shouting the entire time. Also mistreating their children. It was just an unpleasant stay. The lake was beautiful as always! Not super crowded. We mostly go there for the lake obviously.
