Our site was perfect. Enjoyed the sunsets.

Quiet and secluded campground with great access to the beach. Toilet facilities fairly clean

Very pleasant, a hidden gem...

This campground is amazing for the scenery and location on the beach, considering the price. I only had a couple of complaints/annoyances. The location of the water fill/dump station surrounding the office that's in the middle of the campground. It made me feel like I was in the way of other guests when/if they'd be checking in. In the end, it didn't end up being an issue. But I've never seen a configuration like that before, either. The other issue (which is not the fault of the campground) is the cell reception. I have Verizon, and I barely got any text messages; let alone any other notifications when directly within the campground. I know most people expect to "disconnect" when they're camping, but that's not something I can do all the time. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi offered by the campground was too far from my site to connect to (antenna located at the main office, which is in the middle of all the sites). I never had issues with any of my neighbors or their animals. Everyone was respectful of lights out when approaching 11 PM. The overflow parking was convenient if I needed to park anything extra while I was there. The beach never felt crowded, either. I'd definitely consider going back. But I'd be looking into service options for internet the next time.

Loved the site, super friendly, and beach was beautiful.

The bathrooms were god awfully gross by the tent sites but they were ok by the office.. we had some really disrespectful kids riding bikes unsupervised by our site on our last night until 1130pm .. I was never responded to when I tried to reach out about the rain via email either before our trip as we live 6 hours away; and when I called there was no answer. I would love to come back, perhaps when we have a camper or maybe will camp closer to the office next time!

Buttersville Campground is a hidden Gem. It has an amazing view of Lake Michigan right from your campsite. The sunsets are beautiful from your campfire!!

Beautiful campground-- wonderful views of Lake Michigan- only complaint, some sites did flood with the massive rain we had in the evenings.

As my son in-law said " A million dollar view for $35.00". This was our first time there and we loved it

Best campground in Ludington let alone the state of Michigan. We hand been coming since 2016 and every time we go we make new memories and new adventures. Grateful for this campground. Especially our dogs!

Great campsites with shade. Close to Lake Michigan! Watch the Badger Ferry come in at 7 pm and depart at 9 am from the bluff! Watch gorgeous sunsets stop the sand dune bluff! Lots of clean beautiful beach! Great friendly staff !! Clean shower and bath house! Safe for kids.

Amazing place for a family trip! Campsite is we clean and dog friendly! Beach was beautiful and so close to our site.
