Clean Campground, Very Polite Staff.

Excellent communication by staff. Very good WiFi connection. Beautiful setting beside a lake with a loop walking trail circling the lake. Tons of entertainment for kids in season.

I was not able to stay long enough to rate the whole experience. The wifi was enough to check email but this is all. The ATT signal,was good tho where i was parked The restrooms were ok , didnt use the shower due to lack of time. The office had a few items. Be prepared for very unlevel sites. Be prepared for lots of ants. They love the waterhose and electrical hose ramp to your camper. This is notmal but there were lots. I like that it is semiprimitive. I seem to have negative comments, but it is just so anyone reading this will be more prepared than i was. I think it is very beautiful and i will be better prepared for next trip.

It was great. Everything was clean and accessible. The park is very nice and setup right.

The park was a rest stop along our journey this year. We stayed several days and enjoyed to peacefulness of the NC Forest. Speaking specifics, the camp is worn out and is in need of serious updating of its facilities. The bathrooms were OK but not the cleanest, lots of spider webs within the inside detracted. The shower stalls are worn with rusty fixtures and peeling paint everywhere. The sites were all gravel and most were not level small. We have a 37’ Class A and had to use our ramps to keep our wheels on the ground due to the excessive slope found on most sites. The staff were all nice but also complained about the lack of funding for the campground from the county. Overall it was a safe place to land but I don’t think we’ll be back under the existing conditions. I did hear there might be upgrades in the future if the funding is approved.

Great time. The park was wooded, the spots are large and private, water and. Power was great, the dump station easy to get to. Bring a dump tote if staying longer so don’t need to move your RV. Some spot maintenance is needed, trees cut back, simple needs. Spots are level enough.

We loved the campsite

It was a great campground. The bathrooms were older but clean. The reason for the rating is because it needs to add sewer to the campsites. That would make Dan Nicholas a great camping place. With campers getting bigger and more popular that is a very important feature to a campground!

Everything was great but the showers needed to be cleaned . I’m not sure how often someone cleans them, but hair was clogging the drain.

Nice open but wooded spots with decent space between. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and good activities across the water.

This park is wonderful! The ONLY reason for the 4 star rating is because the RV sites are quite narrow and you have to maneuver through the trees that are so near each other on the sites. The free WiFi was very good. T-Mobile coverage was great. The park has numerous attractions: the train, carousel, wild adventures and barnyard. All very reasonable costs that would not break a large family’s bank. We will go to the gem mine on the next visit. :) We stayed on Site 12

We love this park! The fresh smell of pine is amazing. I do wish there was better signage to point you have the right direction based on site number. We had engine trouble that caused us to arrive late so we didn't have a map. We drove around aimlessly trying to find our site. The dump station is on the wrong side of the road to accommodate departing campers and the road is pitched in a way that your leaning opposite thecwsy you would want in order to fully drain your black and gray tanks.

Dan Nicholas is one of our favorite places.

Because our campsite was beautiful, peaceful, and the staff was courteous and professional. The grounds are well-maintained. I would definitely consider returning to this campground.
