Forestville Campground — Reviews

We have camped here every week the night before morning appointments. We live 2 hours away from marquette so this site is very convenient. Close to everything yet far enough away to have a quiet and peaceful night. Would recommend this site to anyone looking for good walking trails and peace and quiet. Firewood on site as well is very convenient.

I love this campground.

Nice quiet campground with good amenities. Only complaints are that the trails cut through our sites which was a bit uncomfortable for spreading out with hammocks into the wooded area

This campground was a little gem back in the woods of Marquette, Michigan. Some of the sites are pretty close but it was a very peaceful spot. There were outhouses, water, and woods available away from the campground. We enjoyed our night there.

Easy to find and to get in and out of. Quiet, not crowded.

We had no trouble finding the campground. It was well marked, and Google took us right to it. The campground is small but adequate. The sites are not secluded from each other at all, but it was fine with us. We were just happy to find a site on a busy August weekend.

Camp grounds and bathrooms were clean and stocked. My only complaint is why people feel the need to smoke in the small bathrooms. A sign on the door forbidding smoking would be great! Thank you!!

I stayed at this campsite because the Ore to Shore bike race rolls through the campground. After staying there for the race weekend. I discovered the entire north trail system that can be accessed from the campsite. My favorite thing was as remote as it feels you are no more 10 minutes from civilization.

Nice quote Campground, race went through it and had no issues getting my camper in and out even though on the bigger size.

You can’t beat the price or the location if you are a mountain bike rider or trail walker/hiker. We will be back!!

I like the campground. Nothing fancy but it has the necessities. I’m giving 3-stars because the campground HOST decided to play music and talk loudly about his favorite coffee shortly before midnight… well after quite time begins. It wasn’t my first stay and I’ve noticed it tends to be operated with a lack of professionalism. It’s not a family campground so you should expect some noise from other campers who are usually young people staying there for mountain biking, but a noisy Campground Host is not acceptable anywhere.

Great campground, plenty of space, respectful fellow campers, enough trees to hand the hammoc, lots of wood for the fire rings... all in all great ! Only hicup were the toilets that were in a bad shape, but still fine

Need more clear signs on where the campground is.

Was not able to talk to camp host they were gone the entire day/night with no sign telling me that. could not get fire wood.
