Lake Camanche South Shore — Reviews

Huge tree branches kept falling all around us and nothing was done about it. No one came to check on us. We attempted calling several times and no one answered the phone. On our last night there we were asked by the staff to turn our generator off at 10;15 which we did. At 1:00am the family across from us turned theirs back on and no one came to tell them to turn it off. I feel and felt that this was a form of discrimination.

There were so. Many. Bugs.. particularly at night. Lots of cockroaches. We got there on a Thursday and the bathrooms were not clean. Seems like the cleaning folks don’t start til Thursday but hard to want to take a shower in dirty bathrooms. Also, 3 very large tree branches fell from the same tree in a span of 24 hours…

Charing for the second car after some paid for the camping. The camp sites are close and people don't respect other campers.

We paid $269 per night for a cottage (x 2 nights). Nowhere in the paperwork did I see anything about us having to clean the cottage when we checked out. We left it in good but did't do the dishes or make the beds. I figured at the price point we paid and without any [cleaning] instructions in the cabin, they must have a housekeeping crew. When I got home, I discovered that they charged me a $50 cleaning fee. The dishwasher was out of order when we arrived and the cabin did not seem very clean when we arrived but we assumed we were "camping" and made it work for the two nights. To then charge us a cleaning fee, wow, that leaves a bad impression of your facility.

First time there the park was nice but the placement of the sewer hook up was poorly planned out as a camper I personally don’t want to sit by the campfire and smell my neighbors sewer that is 3 ft away.

Camping is always something I look forward to—especially on Memorial Day with family and friends. But this year feels completely different: no boats, no kayaks, and not even any liquor allowed. If Lake Camanche is really sticking to these restrictions, we might just head somewhere else that lets us enjoy the full experience.

This spot is lovely and quiet. Can't wait to come back again.

Clean sites, all sites have ample room,

I requested a refund about 5 days left many voicemails emails etc I’m pretty upset I’ll Never use this place for camp reservations again

It rained/ stormed/ 75% of the time. It was very peaceful though. I only wished for less rain!

We chose Lake Comanche to take RV out for the first time and we had an amazing time. The lake is beautiful. We will be back.

No complaints. Everything was as it should be in Monument RV Park. Long-time repeat guest. It was quiet and only about half capacity.

Disappointed in the restrictions of no motorized water items allowed; kayaks, paddle boards, rafts even inflatable floaties/tubes etc.

We were in # 8 premium spot trout pond. Love the spacious campsite, campsite pavement, good condition. We liked it so much cancer in our other reservation and booked with you guys in June booked Mon- # 01 for Father’s Day Weekend. Can’t wait to come back. I love it nice and clean and quiet.
